“Accessible visit to the Redwoods”
Reviewed February 11, 2014

We chose to go the Mount Tamalpais because we could have a short visit and still feel we had seen the redwoods. We were delighted to find well maintained walking trails that were fully wheelchair accessible. We walked 2 km and were surrounded by amazing trees and vegetation. If you don't have the time or ability to take a long rugged walk, this is the perfect place to visit. The trails are a variety of lengths and challenge with something for everyone. Great place for photo ops and lots of interesting information about the area and features.

“Enchanted forest”
Reviewed November 12, 2013 via mobile

We parked near the firehouse in Stinson beach and took the Matt Davis trail to the ranger station, then steep ravine trail to the dipsea trail back to Stinson beach. Just under 8 miles, moderate hike through enchanted forests, grassy slopes, and breathtaking views of the coastline. One of my favorite hikes in the Bay Area!

“worth at least a short visit”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

We stopped here after leaving SF and got a chance to view SF for what was more or less of a goodbye. If you have a picnic lunch, you could certainly enjoy it here. It more for adults than kids.
