We love going to Tamalpais State Park, as often as we can. Almost anywhere you go is a nature wonderland.

“great views, redwoods and fern gullies”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

great walking trails, go to Pantoll Ranger Station, buy or look at a map, ask a ranger, take the Dipsea out to the views and come back up by way of the steep and lush Fern Dell trail. Or go all the way to the top parking area, pay the 8 bucks and walk short distance to the top of the mountain.

“Amazing!”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

There are so many trails, long and short, gentle and vigorous, most with wonderful vistas. It is so close to San Francisco, it is a must see. If you don't hike, bring a picnic and enjoy the views. There are picnic tables and Porta-Potties. Bring your own water.

“Great Views of SF”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

We drove up the mountain and the views are well worth it. Make sure to drive up the east face to see the SF bay and the city. If you hike, take a few minutes and hike up to the observation tower to get the best views.
