Often take the dog for a swim to pier or walk along the cliff top. Great to meet up with friends for a drink or bite to eat. Been to the opening of the new Cinema. All in all, a fabulous view, come rain or shine, brightens up my day.

Penarth is a wonderful town and the Esplanade and Pier a continuing attraction. At long last it has been enhanced by a refurbished Pavilion on the Pier. As a community resource for Penarth this is a sustainable resource by which the people of Penarth, all backgrounds, all ages, can experience art in its many forms from seeing paintings, listening to music or coming to see a fantastic community cinema. That, brings something very special to this building, that its being called a multi-functional space and it has many facets to it, including the Learning Room, a shop, a cinema, café, restaurant and beautiful observation room. Well worth a special trip to Penarth. If you are travelling there is a small hotel 100 metres away, The Pier Hotel and Zubu restaurant which are well worth a visit.

Last night I had the first opportunity to see the inside of the newly refurbished pavilion on the pier when I went to see a film there. What a fantastic job has been done. I was amazed to see just how much has been done. It is absolutely fantastic. It has a small cinema (about 75 seats). A hall where functions/exhibitions can be held with a balcony overlooking the room. It looks as though there is also a retaurant bar being completed and I can't wait to sample these. It is a venue that I hope to use on a regular basis despite the fact that it takes me an hour to travel there. I hope that the local community use and support this fantastic facility.

Wow what a difference a few months make! Saw the Refurbished 1930's Pier in Penarth. All art Deco. Can't wait till cafe is open. Didn't have time to go to the cinema there but all sounds lovely and very civilised with a bar and small seating area.

A beautiful relaxing pier, lovely place to walk and take in the natural beauty of the area. Not much else there if you are the type of person who is after shopping but perfect if you are happy with nature.
