“Lunchtime snack”
Reviewed May 7, 2013 via mobile

We ate in the restaurant on Friday lunchtime. We only wanted a snack and ordered the baguettes BLT and tuna mayonnaise. This was fantastic and more than enough as it came with chips and salad. Fantastic food and great value for money. Friendly bar staff too.

This I found to be a very friendly well run hotel. Traditional service from excellent staff who were helpful with all aspects of my stay. Lovely comfortable beds in a very quiet setting. Food and food service excellent, small but friendly bar which seemed to be popular with the locals.Overall I would definitely recomend.

We weren't staying at the hotel but have had a beautiful meal there. We were staying some 5 miles away so spent the afternoon in the bar. Manager Andy & the "locals" couldn't have friendlier or more helpful. We were even given some beautiful "roasties" & beef because they decided we needed "feeding up" after our 5 mile hike down there. At the end of the afternoon Andy then rang round everywhere to get us a taxi home. Thanks everyone that was a real nice one. We will definately be going back!

Had a lovely, relaxing stay - a real hidden gem in a stunning part of Wales. Room beautifully decorated, clean and tidy with everything we needed. Staff were all incredibly helpful and welcoming. The food is excellent value for money and the portions are generous; I can highly recommend the home cooked Sunday Roast! I would also recommend a trip to the bar - we had a brilliant conversation with the locals and the friendly bar staff. Overall a lovely weekend away in a friendly hotel.

We arrived to an extremely warm welcome from the staff, before warming up and relaxing over some drinks in the characterful bar, followed by a fantastic meal in the restaurant. Both the food and drink were excellent value for money and the quality was set very high. We headed up to our room which was very well appointed and after a long day travelling, the comfortable bed and peace and quiet were very welcome. The next day we had a filling, fresh breakfast and a wander around the village and found the gorgeous waterfall a very short trip away. Again this was followed by a fantastic meal with more generous portions of lovely fresh food, a few drinks at the bar served with a smile while chatting to friendly locals and another restful sleep. I recommend this place to everyone.

Stayed at short notice. Helpful staff, no complaints at all. Good value and excellent breakfast. Stay massively enhanced by some of the local characters in the bar! Absolutely priceless. If you are looking to stay in the local area , stay here.

Excellent food, the portions are generous and excellent value for money, having eaten many times recently with friends and family, I can say that the food is of a consistently high quality. Friendly, approachable and smiley service. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming, a quirky place with a real buzz about it. Roast dinner on a Sunday is defiantly a must. Loved it there and recommend it everyone!
