Many good times had there, and will continue to go back. Not cheap, but always good. Nice atmosphere and especially good in sunny weather when you can sit outside.

Can only describe Hotel and food on Sunday.Miserable wet day outside.Inside friendly staff and first class food.Place itself is quirky and all the better for it.Wish it was a bit nearer home.

One of our favourite places - a great menu with lots of choice - we usually select from the light bites which are just right for lunchtime. Fabulous Iinguini with chilli & crab. The pub is great as it can cater for couples, families, parties and special occasions. Great atmosphere, character property and lovely food.

Although out of the way, and for a stranger, difficult to find, this restaurant was very busy so its reputation must be very good. We were a party of 4 celebrating a birthday and received a warm friendly welcome upon arrival. Even though the restaurant is an eatery and part of a small chain, it felt like a privately run establishment.
I had the sausage and mash choice, which although I felt expensive at £10.95 for a simple home style food, it was superb. My friends also thought it expensive, for the style of food but they also felt the standard and quality was superb.
A good selection of draft beers were on offer but unfortunately, as the driver, my choice was a Stella, which was selected as they have no 'bog standard' low AV lager (ideal for drivers). This was disappointing as you must have a car to get there.
Overall, a very good experience. I would visit again, maybe on a hot Summer's day when I could appreciate the beautiful grounds.
