“Bad food... Bad Service”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2013

We were the only people in the restaurant...except for the waiter who was reading a paper when we entered. He didnt look very happy at putting the paper down and we wish he had told us that they were closed... the food along with the service was terrible.

My dish of chicken Shaslik was terrible on asking if everything was ok and being told "no", the waiter then said "it hasnt been cooked properly"!!

Never again!!!

“What stupid reviews.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

I have read all the reviews for this restaurant & i thought it must be good, but no it's not,so why do people who have no idea what they are writing about write reviews, if you people actually consider this place to be good then fine enjoy but don't say its good ive just wasted £34 on what my wife & i consider to be a very poor experience, the place was empty well i now know why,i had the shami kebabs they came in the middle of eating my popadoms very amateur very strange not a shami keebab i have ever tasted, i even had to wait for the bloke in there to appear to ask for mint sauce, then i had the chicken jalfrezi not a chicken jalfrezi nowhere near it wasnt even hot chillie hot, i had the keema pilau rice it came in a silly little bowl if they give you a third of a portion of rice then they should charge you a third of the normal price, my wife had the chicken biryani she said that it wasnt a proper biryani either, the only thing right was the cobra but for the last fifteen mins i had put an empty pint glass on the edge of my table but not a jot we got the impression that the bloke in there just couldn't be bothered to serve at all, so before anyone says oh its Banladeshi, my favourire takeaway at home is bandladeshi & i have been eating indian food for 39 years all over the world the only correct reviews on here are the ones that say poor.

“Time to make Lemonade!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013

The Lemon Tree - what can I say? Well if you have read my other reviews you know I can be fussy, and have food allergies which is always a problem when eating Indian but the staff were really helpful, explaining which menu items contained chili, which could be adapted to be cooked without, and in the end making meal a really lovely meal. The extra effort they put in made me feel special, but I'm not, they seem to make that effort with everyone. The restaurant itself is on the small side but didn't feel particularly cramped (until a group on a lads night out came in!) and it was very clean. Reasonably priced too, so well worth a visit

This restaurant had average-good food, and was clean when we visited.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
