We had a long hike to Harney Peak and treated ourselves with dinner at Rosy's restaurant. It was great and not just because we were hungry. Food was good and the atmosphere, with the saloon next door, great! We had a very good time. Portion size is on the large side and the waiting staff is flexible when it comes to tweaking your order (e.g. steamed veggies instead of side salad). Go here, when you are in Keystone.

This was the third time over a couple of decades that we have eaten at the Ruby House. The menu has changed over the years but not the atmosphere. If you are looking for a feel of what an old time saloon was like, this might be the spot for you. The saloon side is a nice size, airy, with a subdued lighting that is easy on the eyes when you come in from the heat and bright sunlight. After your eyes adjust, you can feel the history and enjoy the dark woody bar, chairs and tables. The restaurant side is decorated with a red patterned velvety feel wallpaper and a ton of old pictures and memorabilia to check out. The menu has a nice choice for everyone's taste. It is not a fast food priced menu or anything close. We all went for the salmon en croute - a nice sized piece of salmon with onions inside a flaky crust with a tasty sauce over the top. We all loved it and would certainly order it again if it is offered on our next visit. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu and local sights. He informed us he has worked there a long time, and it showed with his efficiency, speed and friendliness. Go try it!

You are supposed to feel like you are in an old west saloon but they have to get any alcohol from the bar next door as they have no liquor license I guess. This means 2 servers and 2 separate checks. Food was ok but nothing fabulous. There are creepy mannequins and plastic ivy and plants collecting dust. Kept feeling that Robert Irvine was needed to do a Restaurant Impossible on it.
