This place has a lot of displays with great information. All pieces are done up in very realistic era clothes and set designs. Plan on spending at least an hour. The Reagan model could use some work as his hair looked wind blown instead of the usual slicked back and his expression looked like the Joker from Batman. Everything else was well done.

I've never been to a wax museum before, so i thought it's the best time to go especially that it's just across Roosevelt Inn where we stayed. I'm not expecting much, but soon as you enter the museum, your interest in US presidential history will be ignited. lots of trivia, it's like you're walking back in time. a handset is provided where you can listen to educational information about a certain president as you walk through. just had a quick tour though and never really got to hear a lot, but if you have time and you're into US presidents, then stick around longer. I'm glad that I bought souvenirs in the shop, as they are much cheaper than the souvenir shop at Mt. Rushmore. Went there in the morning around 10 am on a Friday and there weren't a lot of tourists yet, so we kind of have the museum for ourselves. I saved on entrance fees by clipping coupon I found on internet.

Our family enjoyed listening to the information about each president on the wand that you held up to your ear for a self paced audio tour. The museum was not crowded in the early part of the day. The wax figure of Lady Byrd Johnson was the most realistic likeness. All of the figures were recognizable. Figures for General Custard and the Native Americans looks very realistic.
If you enjoy history, you will likely enjoy the National Presidential Wax Museum.

This was a fun and informative way to learn about each of the Presidents, to get a bit of history, and to teach our son about them as well. The museum offers a wand that allows you to enter a number and hear a little about each president. You can take as many pictures as you'd like. And the employees were very friendly and helpful.
