Awesome place to stay the location was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly. I will stay here next time I come the the black hills area. If you want a friendly, clean, affordable hotel Mt Rushmore's white house resort is the place to stop just ask for Scott or Priscilla they will handle everything.

Hotel was very clean and check-in was fast and friendly. We were there in the off season (April 2014) so the manager upgraded us to a room with a corner gas fireplace. The bathroom caibinet was very spacious - great for us women who have a lot of stuff to spread out!! There is a restaurant on site and also a bar/restaurant within walking distance.

We were there on off season and because the hotel had room we were upgraded to a lovely room with a fireplace. The Manager Scott West was very accomodating and friendly, and Sande was easger to help in any way. The room was comfortable and since the weather was so cold, the heater and fireplace were wonderful and kept the room warm and comfy.
The restaurant attached to the hotel was limited on its choices - the buffett was not open at this time.

This hotel is the cleaniest and friendliest hotel in Keystone, SD. My husband and I travel to many hotels due to business and we always look forward to visiting this home away from home hotel while in the area. Scott is the nicest desk clerk we have ever come in contact with.

Thanks for the hospitality again,
Louisiana couple

We were worried when we pulled into a dark Keystone. Luckily the lights were on at the White House Resort! Scott got us a room right quick and pointed us in the direction of an open kid friendly restaurant. The motel had just opened for the season and was nice and clean. The room was plenty spacious for our one night stayand the bathroom was big, too. We went to the attached restaurant for breakfast. The food left a lot to be desired but the friendliness of the staff made up for it. They even gave my toddler a free postcard of Rushmore because he was talking about George Washington!

Advertised on Hotels.com as having 2 Queen beds. Turned out to be 2 doubles. My 16 year old son volunteered to sleep on the floor though we decided against this when one of the two bed's blanket was the dirtiest (i.e., stains, different colored hairs throughout the blanket) I've ever seen in a hotel. Who knows what the floor was like. Next morning when relating this to the management, they expressed that they never have Queens available in the winter time. My fault for not knowing that. Upon telling how dirty the blanket was, no apologies. They moved the conversation back to the size of the beds and again related that they only keep a few rooms available for off-season. And to think I paid almost 90 dollars for this experience off-season.

Room Tip: Stay at the Best Western a block down the street

We stayed here as couldn't get in anywhere else.. However saying that we were glad we did.. It was not only half the price of the other places, what the hotel lacks in "modern" day living it more than makes up for friendliness...the manager and staff seemed to never sleep, they were there all the time and happy too.. Very helpful and make you feel like friends ..
Accommodation is basic, very clean, no toiletries which for us was a downside as travelling on motorbike.. Plenty of parking...
There is a swimming pool which looked lovely but we didn't have time to use it sadly...
2miles from Mount Rushmore $11 for annual pass.... How good is that?
The 'Town' is totally charming...
Whilst there a must is a visit to Crazy Horse.... Absolutely amazing especially with the history with it... $10 for 2 on a bike.. Not sure how much otherwise... Make sure you have enough time to spend there as we regretfully didn't..
