“Great place to eat!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We got sandwiches and took them to Mount Rushmore in a cooler instead of eating at their high priced restaurant. I am sure glad we did, they were great! So great that we came back the next day and got more to-go sandwiches to take to Custer State Park.

High suggest eating here and/or getting take-out while in Keystone.

“Yum!”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

Had a really great meal at Teddy's today. Highly recommend getting there earlyish for lunch, it did get busy. I had the Cajun Chicken Melt which was awesome. My husband really enjoyed the hot pastrami. Definitely a great lunch spot after Mount Rushmore.

“Just what they promise to be-a great deli”

We had the famous reuben, more than enough food for 2 adults. The sandwiches come with homemade chips, tasty!

“Great”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

Yes...we had to wait for the food...SO WHAT! The food is prepared FRESH and there was a line. We also were told that there would be a wait (because they are not a huge eatery perhaps...just saying). Our food was prepared well and I think a good portion for the price. Will definently be back and I will spread the word about the food and the service.

“Simple, Filling, Average Food”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

After 16 straight hours of travel, we needed an easy, filling meal before we collapsed at our hotel. Teddy's hit the spot. We went simple ... a couple three-cheese melts, bully melt (roast beef & swiss), and a kids grilled cheese. We also tried a cup of the Wisconsin cheese soup.

We had about a 10-15 minute wait for our food. Loved the free serve-yourself ice water ... wish more restaurants would offer that. We ate outside - plenty of room to spread out & get some people-watching in.

The food tasted fresh and was filling. We ended up taking half the bully melt back to the hotel & it reheated very well the next day. I really liked the bully & the accompanying chips were addictive.

Soup was OK but not the best cheese soup we've had (we've spent a lot of time in Wisconsin).

The kids had picked white bread for their cheese melts - the bread was still cold in places even though the cheese was melty - weird. Kids still happily ate it. Tasted like they refrigerate or even defrost some types of bread. We were there early in the summer season if that makes any difference.

Price was as expected for a tourist town - the 3 cheese melt was around $5 & the bully around $8.

Overall, an average experience. We'd probably give it another try on our next visit & get a little more adventurous with our sandwich choices.
