I never been here before, and while waiting to pick up a load on Monday we decided to visit Mt. Rushmore especially since learning it was 1/2 hour away and semis sans trailers could also park. We went in the off season so the town of Keystone looked like a ghost town, everything was closed. Nevertheless, it thought it was cute and I imagined it crowded in the summer. There is no fee for the park per se, but there is parking fee of $11, and I really loved that it also serves as an annual pass, that way one can visit again and again, that was a nice surprise. It is definitely amazing and inspiring just to imagine what it took to make this monument happen. One can't fathom such ingenuity and such desire to honor history-changing presidents. The park is well kept, it's informative, and accessible. I really liked that it's clean and well maintained, and I never though I could enjoy it as much as I did.
