“Consistently good food”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

Good choice of standard menu plus daily specials. Good use of local produce. Good portions and strong robust flavoursome food. Recommend Cullen skink and any game which is on the menu. Very old pub atmosphere. Opening times mean you have freedom to eat at any time from the menu. Would recommend this venue although it requires a drive for good quality well priced food in a rural setting.

“A LITTLE TREAT IN THE COUNTRY”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

We visited this inn with a ITISON voucher, it is set in a lovely little village. The staff were very friendly & attentive . They were well informative about the menu. All three courses were generous in size & all local produce. We will be back for more in the future.

“Handy for a stay in Lamington”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

Ate here on the 14th November whilst staying in nearby Lamington. Cosy pub with home cooked food with a local influence & generous portions. Very friendly waiting staff.

“Lovely place to spend a chilly evening”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

Myself and three friends went along tonight with our 'groupon' voucher. The menu was varied with lots of local produce on offer. there was something for all tastes. The staff, Fearne and Craig were well informed about the menu and nothing was too much trouble. Although busy they spent time sharing some 'banter' with us. Would recommend The Mill to anyone who appreciates good, home made food, well presented and in lovely surroundings with attentive and friendly staff.

“Fresh, Locally Sourced Food & Excellent Service”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

This place ticks many boxes. Not only is it a characterful building in a pleasant rural location, it serves high quality menu featuring local produce at a reasonable price. Both the starters and main were clearly home made and the dishes carefully considered. Extra thanks go to the waiting staff who were friendly and attentive. Was impressed by the upstairs whiskey bar, I just wish I had the time to try more.
