Had lunch and a couple of beers here on Friday. The decor is very nice, as was the food. Well worth a visit if you're in Comrie!

“Oustanding Food and service, in beautiful surroundings.”
Reviewed March 20, 2014

My husband and I dined here in the evening while staying in St Fillans, it came on the recommendation of my dad, and we were not disappointed.
We were sat beside a roaring log fire so it was lovely and cosy.
The menu is very inventive and offered lots of Scottish produce, I opted for seared tuna to start with followed by fillet of cod topped with smoked salmon and crunchy crust, my dessert was vanilla and pear cheesecake, ( no ordinary cheesecake) it was incredible.
My husband had Caesar salad to start followed by Venison bourguignon, ( the meat was so tender the knife slid through it) lovely bottle of red wine to wash it all down followed by coffee and liquors.
All in all a wonderful dining experience, service and food outstanding, we will return. Comrie is very lucky to have a little gem like this, long may it flourish and continue.

“Outstanding Service”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

We called into this charming restaurant on Saturday night. Even without a reservation they were quick to take us to a cosy table beside a lovely fire and let us see their excellent menu. The menu, although not huge, had more than enough choice for us both and we had excellent starters of tuna - which was wonderful, a definite start of the show! and pate. The main courses of venison and duck were just a tasty with the duck being particularly good - really melt in the mouth. The wine list was also good with plenty of choice.

The food was very good but the real star of the show for us was the service. It was faultless, friendly and not overbearing. The service was so good that when we found ourselves without a taxi back to our accommodation the chef himself gave us a lift back. It really was beyond the call of duty and much appreciated.

The price was very reasonable for the quality of the food and I would recommend this little gem to everyone staying in the Comrie area.
