We stayed at this lodge over Hogmanay and New Year. Having never been away at this time of year we were a wee bit anxious - but we are so glad we did! The hot tub was the icing on the cake and provided a lot of relaxation despite the cold weather.

The owners were more than helpful, and the lodge was equipped with everything you could want.

The town of Comrie itself is lovely. We went for dinner in the Deil's Cauldron and I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in the area. We also did a lot of walking in the area - most notably to the top of Dunmore Hill to see Melville's Monument. It's a steep climb and not for the faint-hearted, but it's well worth the view!

We will definitely be back here at some point in the very near future.

Room Tip: We stayed in Ruchill lodge (1bedroom) which was beautiful.

Had an amazing time staying here and will be back!! Booked this for a few days away for our tenth wedding anniversary, just what we needed and more. Lodge was beautiful, and clean, had everything that you need. For a lovely relaxing break in an amazing setting this is the place to visit.

Well equipped place which kept a family of four with an 18 and 21 year old content. Half an hours drive from most parts of Perthshire. Recommend going for dinner at yann's and breakfast at gleneagles. The sauna takes more than 10mins to warm up but worth the wait.

First stay at these excellently located cabins within walking distance of the small town of Comrie. An hour from Glasgow and you are in the beautiful countryside that surrounds your cabin, we stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin that is packed with all the mod cons you would expect in your own home with the added luxury of your own private hot tub and BBQ. Only 4 cabins on the beautifully kept grounds and is very very quiet and your own cabin outdoor space is private with the exception of the sheep in the adjacent field. Even though you can have as much time to relax as you wish, you also have the town of Crieff 15 miles away where Crieff Hydro has plenty to do to keep you busy. We will 100% be staying at these lodges again as the location was great, owners helpful and discreet and super value for your money.

If you are reading this review and are considering staying in lodges then stop looking and go straight to Highland Heather Lodges as you will NOT be disappointed.

Our 4th visit to these wonderful lodges, situated on the edge of Comrie. They are fantastic for a romantic break or family trip away. Comfy beds, good shower in the wet room, and a really well equipped kitchen if you want to cook. The outside area comes with private hot tub, great for star gazing and a gas bbq for the warmer months. Lodges are always spotlessly clean and well prepared for guests arrival, with robes and slippers provided. Comrie itself is a lovely village with scenic walks around and about. The village also has a fab deli, great bakers, nice cafe, good chippy and deils cauldron for delicious tapas, all within 15 mins walk of the lodges, what more could you want!!

This was our third stay at HHL and it was just as fantastic as our previous visits. If you are looking for luxurious comfort in an ideal location for walking, exploring the highlands, adventurous activities or just total relaxation, then this is the place for you. During our most recent stay (Oct / Nov 2012) we booked a Mountain Jeep Safari and a spa day at the Hydro for the girls whilst the guys and kids went shooting, quad biking and on segways. As for walking / hiking, Glen Lednock circular and Comrie to Crieff (return by bus) are both stunning and Nevis Gorge / Steall Falls is well worth the 2hr drive. Even in the rain and snow, this area of Scotland is truly beautiful and the hot tubs in the lodges take any weather woes away! A big thank you to Elaine & John for sourcing a wheelchair for our friend with MS to use during our stay too!

Initially we were concerned these lovely high spec lodges wouldn't be suitable for taking a 21 month old but after friends recommended it we decided to give it a go. As soon as we arrived it was perfect. The one bedroom lodge 'Earn' was spacious & with access to full kitchen facilities it meant it was easy to be self sufficient. My daughter also loved the wet room as a welcome change from mostly baths at home. The little walks we had access to were also perfect for our toddler. Elaine was so helpful in telling us about local things which led to an awesome day at a nearby wildlife park. The evenings we could chill and unwind with all the comforts of home topped off with stunning views & of course the outdoor hot tub. We will definitely be visiting again and know our friends have already booked their Easter break there. Only downside was there was no 3rd chair for our toddler to eat dinner because she doesn't use a high chair. The place is so great though we are happy to bring our own next time.
