“Best & biggest cake in the Shire!!”
Reviewed March 29, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant is unfairly underrated. The food is absolutely fantastic and value for money is unquestionable.
The staff are very efficient and pleasant too, which makes for a pleasant change these days!
It's quite cool at this time of year, in 2013 anyway, which is the only downfall, please consider more heating folks.
I'd still go back anytime just for the cakes, my favourite being the biggest Victoria Sponge I think I've ever seen with a taste to die for... and I don't normally eat or like fresh cream at all.
Can't wait to go back again.

“Funky and Sometimes Good”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

The Tullybannocher Cafe just outside Comrie is an interesting place where, if you spend much time in the area, you ought to stop in at least once. Part tearoom and part cafeteria, the decor is kitsch, couches, and picnic tables. We've stopped twice--once for lunch and once just for coffee and a sweet. Food has been decent with just enough choices both times. It wouldn't make my list as a destination, but don't be afraid to stop in--be sure to say "Hi" to the bathing beauty mannequin when you do.

“Good coffee - huge cake!”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

We popped in on our way through the area for a coffee and ended up treating ourselves to a (huge) piece of their homemade jam and cream-filled Victoria sponge. Well, it would have been wrong not to! We were the only ones in the cafe at the time and as it's very large, we felt a bit conspicuous, but this wasn't the fault of the cafe, more a reflection of the time of day. Two coffees and two very large pieces of cake came in at about £9, which was relatively good value compared to what you'd pay in a chain coffee shop - and the quality was certainly better. There was just one woman serving and she was very pleasant, so no complaints there.
