Review of The Time Capsule

The Time Capsule
Reviewed August 17, 2013

Went with a 3, 6 & 8 year old who were all happy with their visit. The place is small and very busy you can expect to wait around 10 minutes (in the cold) to have a go on the flumes. The pool itself is very small. Maybe I had expected something different from a place that advertises as being an indoor water park. Changing rooms were reasonably clean, insufficient amount of showers for the numbers that were using them. The tiles and flumes looked a bit grimy in places. One good thing was there are a lot of lifeguards and staff around. Worth a visit on a quiet day but really isn't anything special.

This is the second time we have taken our Granddaughter Taylor 3 to the Time Capsule we love it great fun worth travelling from Paisley as I think the Lagoon in Paisley is just boring my only gripe is the hairdryers are an absolute joke.

We visited with 2 adults and 3 children, they loved the flumes especially the one you can use with up to 4 people at a time. Clean and tidy, lots of staff about.

Only fault is that it was very cold on entering, there are some very warm spots but then you would swim into another very cold bit, could be a bit more even temperatured. Would definately go again.

They may have refurbished their fun pool, but the swimming pool leaves a lot to be desired, the changing rooms smell of urine it's disgusting.

We visited the time capsule today (three adults, a 5 year old and a 3 year old) for a swim session. Whilst a bit pricey for only 90mins, it was worth the money in terms of the fun the kids had. The changing area was clean enough with plenty lockers. The kids were in awe walking out to the pool. There are lots of flumes, but check the height/age restrictions if taking young ones with you. The coral island bit was lovely and warm for the wee ones but had no bubbles on or toys which was a shame. The tornado tantrum was fab if a little short but we laughed all the way down. The rapids weren't so rapid but never mind. The giant tipping bucket was a huge highlight and the wave machine was great. Some bits are a little shabby but really not as bad as some reviews are making out to be. Overall we had a great day- my nephew said the flume was "mental"!
