We had Sunday brunch and dinner here. Brunch was a bit on the expensive ($25/person), food was just ok .
Dinner: I had pasta, big portion, can be for 2 people. Complimentary bread wasn't so good, just plain cold dinner roll. Can't comment on dessert, since we are too full.

What made this place was the surroundings and historic interior. Sitting at a window table is worth waiting for. We ate here 3 nights and the food was average. The bread was below average. As you are having your fairly expensive average meal, remember you are paying for the location. There are not a lot of dining choices without driving, which we didn't want to do after very long hiking days. There is a place off the lobby that is sort of like a small deli where one can get a casual meal -- it doesn't have much seating, but some folks took their food outside to a picnic area.

We visited Mt. Rainier as a last minute choice, and while it was cloudy, we definitely enjoyed the restaurant and the few hikes we chose to do. Our server was excellent and attentive. We arrived for lunch, and ordered the burgers and chicken sandwiches which were very yummy. Prices were a bit high, but understandably so. Our favorite part was definitely the views that we had sitting right next to the large windows overlooking the surrounding mountains. It's historical and quaint.

Ate here 2 different nights for dinner. Buffalo meatloaf is very good. Decided to eat breakfast the one day...the power had gone out during the night, and since they were not able to have all the items ready for the buffet, they reduce the price from $15 to $10 per person

My wife and I had our 'high end' dinner one night here while staying at the end after a full day of hiking in the park. Dinner opens right at 5:30 and there is a line to get everyone in and seated, but once in the service was outstanding.

Our waitress was very friendly and patient while answering questions about the menu, even going back into the kitchen to see if they could meet a request. The meal was very good, and a key bonus is having dinner in this rustic park hotel.

Everything about the meal was very good, with m y steak cooked perfectly. Even the chocolate cake for desert was above average.

While the prices would deter me from having all my meals here, for our splurge meal it was perfect.
