We stopped here for lunch while we were hiking. It was worth the stop. Nice to take a break. It's in a nice location, right by the Paradise trails. The views are only good on one side of the restaurant. The open space made it seem much less private than I would have liked. Our server was great, very fast! We had fish & chips and chicken salad. Both were fine. Kind of bland in my opinion. That being said, you don't go here for the food.

It's worth a visit to the lodge to look around. Very cool history. Love the big beams and fireplaces. If I could do it over, I would probably have ended our day here for a quick snack and beer, and packed a picnic lunch.

The food is so-so and the service just OK. Perhaps because we were there early in their season, the wait staff did not have their "drill" down pat. . . . not well informed re sources of the seafood or especially attentive.

We ate breakfast there two days and dinner twice also; as others have noted, there are no other options but you know that when you make reservations just as you know there is no cell service or Wi-Fi (a blessed thing for a few days for sure!). The breakfast menu is VERY expensive for children, ages 10 and 12 and it is the only option and not especially tasty. Dinner was just OK. BUT you forget all this when surrounded by the incredible natural and man made beauty. There was still much snow and the views from the dining room were really spectacular. The recent (5 years ago?) renovation of the entire Lodge was done with great sensitivity and attention and the result is memorable. All in all, our stay was a 5-star experience but the food was not.

Breakfast buffet was nothing particular to get excited about but when you're hungry this was a welcomed meal. Standard fare as you would expect. The pastries were light and tasty. The wait staff were very cordial and attentive. As previously stated the cost is not comparative but you are ten thousand feet above sea level

The Paradise Lodge and Inn is absolutely beautiful. The it set on Mt Rainier high above the tree tops. The restaurant in the lodge was a large open space with large windows. The food was good and the service was great. Our server Pam was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a nice atmosphere to just relax and have a decent meal in a beautiful space.

we had a wonderful 2-day stay at paradise inn. it's a great base point to travel to sunrise point and see other sights of the park. we had a one bed room with bathroom in the annex. quaint, cozy and COLD (in mid-june). but the little heater in the room was mighty and powerful.

we ate in the dining room three times. for
- lunch we both had delicious cuban sandwiches served by Jess, who was wonderful - friendly and so pleasant.
- for sunday morning the very pricey $15.75 breakfast brunch which was 'ho-hum' and so-so. three individuals attended to us. sasha, from jamaica seated us and got us started - she was totally awesome, friendly and personable. jerome was unresponsive and unfriendly, to the point of being rude. as was another gal from jamaica with a very short name (zoe??). both of these latter individuals either didn't want to be there, was mad at us and the world, or had somewhere else they wanted to be very badly. -
- at dinner hubby had the mushroom pasta and i had mushroom soup with caesar salad with chicken. the salad was scrumptious the other selections, notsomuch.

unfortunately, guests at the inn are captive and unless they pack in their own food, they must eat at the snack bar - also extremely pricey - or the dining room.
