Stayed here for 1 night. Very friendly service, a nice clean and quiet room. Breakfast is nice and diner is very good! Worth the money!

Also close to Mt. Rainier, be early to get up the mountain. Later on the day it is busy.

My wife and I wrapped our 30th anniversary celebration by staying a few nights at this wonderful place. We had superb service, we were graciously upgraded to a beautiful suite, and we were surprised with a tray of gifts consisting of champagne, delicious chocolate, a cute "Do Not Disturb - It's our Anniversary" door sign, and a sweet anniversary card addressed specifically to my wife and I. The food was fantastic, the area was tranquil and relaxing, and overall...we had a very romantic and memorable time for our 30th. <3 I would HIGHLY recommend Alexander's Country Inn B&B. We'll go back for sure one day!

We tried to stay in the Paradise Inn, in the park but it was sold out. We then picked this B&B option and were very pleased with it. The ghotel is old and very simple but, it had a alpine charm to it.
The hotel is on the main road that ends at the Mt Rainier park and is not noisy. We stayed in the 3rd floor in the octagonal turret, in a suite with living room and bathroom in the room. The restaurant is imple too but has good breakfasts. Try the outdoor seating, weather permitting.

Room Tip: Pick the suites as they are much superior to the rooms.

We had a quiet time here. It is clean, quiet, the food is really good especially the lamb.
And it is really close the park entrance. Hot tub had a view to the pond.

I would advocate for more board games for a better games selection!

thanks a bunch.

Billy---

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at the inn and also enjoyed dining at Alexander's Restaurant. The lamb shank is a popular dish!
Thank you for the suggestion to have more board games in the parlor. We recently added a few jigsaw puzzles and some new board games including Ticket to Ride, which families seem to enjoy.

We have been going to Alexander's Country Inn since we had our wedding dinner there 3-1/2 years ago, which was AMAZING. The staff was attentive, the food was unbelievably fabulous, (I made the whole table watch as I cut my steak with my spoon!) the price was fantastic and we even got our own private dining area which we had not even requested!
We generally go back about 2 times a year for our anniversary or Valentines. The staff is great, they always remember us and almost everything is made there, even down to the salad dressing! We finally decided to stay the night on our last visit and were pleasantly surprised with the hospitality and the overall set-up, you can mingle with a complimentary glass of wine in the common room after 5, take a dip in the hot tub, enjoy a relaxing massage or, just hide out in the peace and quiet of your own room. Even the complimentary breakfast was great, an actual meal not just toast and coffee. They even offer a sack lunch if you want to go on a day hike!
The ONLY thing that I didn't like was that our bed was too hard. I felt like I needed another massage the next morning to recover.

5 out of 5 for us!

Llydia,

I'm happy you enjoyed your stay at Alexander's. I am sorry you found the bed to be too hard. We are in the process of purchasing new mattresses and box springs and will get all mediums...so our guests are comfortable and the beds aren't too soft or too hard.
Hopefully, next time you stay with us, you'll have a great night's sleep.

I stayed in this absolutly wonderfull place for the first time on March 16th 2013. The rooms are amazing and quite comfortable. They have a living area and bedroom and bath. there is also a seperate group room were you can be social and meet new people. I enjoyed vivisting with a young couple from Wa. who were there to celabrate a St. Patrick day birthday. There is also a seperate TV room.

Outside is a hot tub with a view of te pond and behind that are several hiking trails, which I did investigate. It was so beautiful.

Shannon was great and so were the rest of the staff. They make you feel so welcome and at home. Everyone was so friendly.

The Restaurant severed a wide varity of food for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast is included in the price of the room. The chef obviously takes great pride in his dishes. Flavor and presentation. Check it out if you get a chance. You won't dissapointed.

I am going back for the 4th of July, two days this time. There is so much to see.

Room Tip: Room 10 is the only king size bed. The lower rooms have patio. My photo's are on my phone.
