“A ROMANTIC SURPRISE”
Reviewed May 5, 2008

My husband wanted to surprise me with a romantic stay when we were visiting MT. Rainier and he really did it. We stayed at the Heron Cabin at Stormking SPA. From day one the cabin was perfect. The pictures online can't describe you the real beauty of the cabin. Even the deers came to the door to be fed. The tranquility and natural beauty of the area makes you feel that you are in paradise. During our stay there we had more than a foot of snow and Deborah the owner drove us to the restaurant. She was always making sure that our stay was pleasant. We have so many wonderful memories of our stay there that we are already thinking of going back....

My wife and I got married behind the Raven cabin on April 12, 2008.
This is the second time that we have stayed at the Raven and the third time at Storm King. The deer will eat right out of your hands. The whole experience was amazing and it was wonderful to get away from the 'race' yet again.
I would recommend Storm King for anyone who is looking for a 're-boot'.

Deborah left us a wonderful bouquet of flowers in our cabin with a congratulations card!

Thanks again to the owners Deborah and Steve!!

My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary in the Heron cabin. It was so beautiful, just like the pictures show!! We enjoyed quiet time without the kids watching movies and sleeping in and without interuption :) We had deer, racoons, and chipmunks all come up on the porch. We only live 30 minutes away, but still felt like we were in our own private seclusion far from home. We highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to get away from it all.

We visited the Pacific Northwest in mid September and stayed four nights at Storm King. I can honestly say I haven't experienced a more peaceful, relaxing place. The yurts were very charming and so comfy w/a cozy fireplace, the hot tub by the stream and sauna were exhilarating, and the spa packages were incredible! Going to the mountain festival at the base camp gave us a taste of the local folk and was tons of fun! You don't want to miss this experience.......oh yeah .... and did I mention the breathtaking Cascade mountains?? WOW!

We toured Washington after a friends wedding in Tokeland. The Stormking Spa's eagle cabin was the BEST bed, pillows, atmosphere, hot tub, spa of our trip!!

My husband and I wanted to be up early for hiking, but oh that wonderfully comfortable bed! The two person shower was fabulous too!!! In case of rain bring some CDs and DVDs - there is no TV (a good thing!) but DVD player for movies in case you are stuck inside from weather. And the continental breakfast, microwave and sm fridge came in handy.

We enjoyed massages at the spa which were incredible after hiking. Eagle cabin is down the road a piece from the main spa and so very, very private. We enjoyed having our own hot tub right out back. We didn't see any Elk but are told they frequent the front yard. We plan to return to Stormking!!

We went to Stormking for our 10th anniversary, and had an awesome time...the cabin was completely relaxing and tranquil, every detail was perfect. So private and quiet and calm and relaxing..what a great escape. We also each had a massage at the spa, which was fantastic, my wife and I agreed the best we'd had. Highly reccomending this place to anyone who wants a nice, relaxing getaway! Just wish we could have stayed longer :<

This is a spectacular, one-of-a-kind place to stay while visiting a spectacular, one-of-a-kind part of the world. First, the location couldn't be better. The property is literally right down the road from the entrance to Mount Rainier. There are a couple of good restaurants close by too, so while the location is secluded, you don't have to drive forever to enjoy a nice dinner. The cabins themselves are an example of everything one could desire in a peaceful and romantic getaway. The attention to detail is amazing: the intricate tiled floors, the log bedframe, the lovely rock shower and wood-slab table and bathroom countertop. Every part of the cabin is evidence of real quality craftsmanship. Very impressive! We also loved the private hottub. It offers an amazing view of the woods and sky, with the convenience of being right outside the cabin's door. We would have loved to be able to stay a few more days at this perfect little getaway. Highly recommended, and we're pretty picky about our accomodations!
