We had a day playing at the ski centre and stayed here overnight, the food was amazing, the chalet we were upgraded too was clean and comfortable if a little small but we weren't in it long enough to worry, the bathroom could do with an update but the shower was wonderfully hot so can't complain. The hotel arranged for a masseuse the next morning who was excellent!!
Value for money was brilliant, can't rave enough about the food and the place generally was very nice indeed. We're definitely going again!

Booked here through kgb for a stay of one night on March 14th 2014, booked a massage for my girlfriend for the same day at 4pm a few days before with reception.
After rushing to the hotel to make it on time and arriving at 3.30pm we were told that they would not be able to provide this service due to the massuer who is brought in from an outside company not being able to make it.
As they were aware of this from that morning it woyld have been nice to receive a phone call to make us aware! BAD START!

The room (room3) itself was nice with a good size TV and coffee/tea facilities and Bath and shower which again was nice.

Breakfast in the morning was tasty and the coffee was strong :-) with staff friendly.

However after arriving home the next day I remembered leaving my glasses in the bathroom of the room and phoned the hotel to arrange when i could collect them.

After phoning the hotel twice we were told the housekeepers had not found anything even though i remember leaving them on the side of the bath.

Whilst my own fault for forgetting to check the bathroom the disapearance of my glasses is unusual.

Frustrating and expensive end to our break.

Just come back from a 2 day break at Lyncombe lodge, which we got through Groupon.
What a wonderful hotel, warm, clean and very welcoming. The room (room 6) was clean and spacious with all the comforts of home. Set in a gorgeous location in the middle of woodland and right next to the dry ski slope. The food quality is excellent, both the breakfast and evening meal were of top quality and a good size portion. The staff were very friendly and attentive, especially Anne the deputy manager who made our Friday night quite memorable. We are now going to book another 2 nights for our anniversary in August.

Stayed for 2 nights and felt so relaxed after a comfortable stay. The views from the hotel are lovely, especially from the restaurant, which overlooks the rolling hills beneath. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable with little touches like bottled water and a booklet with local information (which was very helpful with directions to Cheddar Gorge etc.) and ideas for sightseeing. Some lovely walks in the area and even a ski slope next to the hotel, which is interesting to watch even if you don't want to take part. Finished off with a Sunday lunch for a reasonable £13 - can't be bad! Recommended for a relaxing retreat!

Stayed 1st March 2014. It is our 2nd visit having been a few years before. We found it to be a great now as we remembered it. From the front of house staff to the food cooked by Zultan (what a great name!) and his team. Outstanding! If we lived closer we would come and dine on a regular basis it's that good! The outside Chalet's are comfy with outstanding views. We stayed in number 15. They have nice touches like bottle water, tissues and other toiletries. Now here comes the small but ...... They are not sound proof so can hear next doors tv, talking and using the toilet their extractor fan does make a lot of noise. Our bed was so uncomfortable it proved difficult to sleep. Not because it was to hard or soft but because it was like a hump bridge. My husband and I would roll to the opposite sides of the bed. You couldn't roll/move into the middle as it was higher up. So cuddling up to sleep was impossible. I did mention this on the way out. This for me was only let down on what was a truly lovely night away.
