I'm a frequent visitor to this pub. It's a 2 for 1 pub but compared to other pubs in this chain this is just so much better. Lovely freshly cooked - and very well cooked food. Such good value too. I would recommend for a cheap tasty meal. The waiters and waitresses are always friendly and cheerful despite the fact that it gets incredibly busy at times. Recommended :)

This was recommended in the visitors' book at our holiday cottage, but I'm afraid we were not impressed. The food was OK, but deeply uninspired in presentation, and it was clear (from the huge variety on offer, and the look of the meals) that it was mostly frozen or pre-prepared food on offer.

The restaurant was large, noisy, and the fittings were cheap-looking. The service was friendly but slow (busy Sat night).

The bill was astonishingly low, but we both agreed we would rather have had a good takeaway! Note that the price structure means it is cheap for 2s or 4s, but the meals are quite over-priced individually.

This is my second Marstons experience, and the last!

Looked lovely from the outside and being a marstons pub we thought we couldn't go wrong. Ordered two meals for the price of one off the specials board. We both had the chicken bu it was really over cooked and took ages to eat-really not enjoyable. Pub itself was nice enough and the service was great. Took a pudding away as we wanted to get out after the terrible chicken and I have to say it was gorgeous! we had some red velvet thing which was pricey but worth it. If I was in the area again I wouldn't go here again-sorry.

Used this pub a number or times but not for a while and stopped here on way home from Exmoor for Sunday lunch. The Yorkshire Pudding was in need on the kiss of life but the rest of the meal, turkey and beef was fine and consistent.

Plenty of it makes it gold value and despite being short staffed we were seated and served quickly. At a little under £15 for two large Sunday lunches and two drinks can't really go wrong.

found this place while staying overnight at a nearby hotel for an early morning flight from Bristol. The 241 offer tempted us inside; yes it is a bid Weatherspoonish, but the food and service were great for a pub. We had gammon and fish - huge helpings - gammon probably one of the best I've tasted to be honest. Service very friendly and cost was reasonable with a bottle of wine. Very hot evening though and they couldn't open the doors/windows which was a shame, but we took the rest of our bottle of wine outside after finishing our meal. Would recommend and would return
