We eat here more than any other local restaurant. Reason not because it is haute cuisine, not because of the decor and not because it is the best Chinese restaurant for miles. It is because when we are in town maybe at the movies or too busy to cook at home these guys offer an all you can eat buffet for £7.50 per adult before 5:30. Also unlike many other AYCE the choice is very good and the quality is fine. Everything you would expect is there - 2 x soup, selection of mixed starters, crispy duck & pancakes, maybe 8+ mains, 2 x rice & 2 x noodles. Also for desert something our kids have always loved since they were tiny, an ice cream machine with lots of kiddy extras like jelly babies and jelly as well as the standard banana and apple fritters. Yes the drinks are quite expensive but overall a really good meal for very little.
Service is friendly, never had to wait for a table, decor tatty and the carpet (best not mentioned).
We especially liked it when the kids were younger as they can have three helpings of pancakes and ice cream and we could have what we wanted. Now they are older the boys can have three platefuls of whatever takes their fancy at no extra cost. Can't remember what the cost is for kids but think it is £4!
Yesterday 4 of us two boys 19 and 15 my wife and I ate all we wanted including a beer each and a coke for the youngest for a smidge over £40. Excellent value.

We've visited this restaurant several times and have always found the staff friendly and the food decent. Ideal for a cheap family lunch.

Having heard from friends locally we finally took our two boys ( 4 and 7) to the lunch buffet. In short what could you expect for 6.50 for adults and 3.50 for the children ? average to poor food perhaps and overpriced drinks quite likely. I'm pleased to say neither was the case. The food included the usual fare with excellent Char Shoi pork , melt in the mouth Beef in Black Bean sauce and lots of other choices, all topped off by free soft ice cream for the kids as opposed to it being extra. Drinks were reasonable ( soft drinks were 1.70 each). The bill for four of us including soft drinks and a chinese Tea was 26.70 plus the tip of a few pounds that I gladly left. I have had evening chinese meals costing a lot more and offering far less tasty food. You would have to expect an awful lot for 27 pounds per family of four to be disappointed with this. We will be returning without a doubt. If you think my reviews may be over generous check out what i thought of my recent Indian takeaway nearby ! .

sorry guys im one of those typical english people who dont complain while im there i write you a bad review instead so others can see my experience.
Food was a little greasy and i dont think it was that fresh and slightly over cooked and tasted very salty, i later spoke to a chef freind of mine and she said it was called MSG a form of food flavoring- to enhance the low qualty produce used.
servive was ok but not very helpful as i wanted another dish from the buffet that had finished and the chefs said he was not cooking that dish any more this evening. !!! mmmm
