“Ideal for families”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

This place is in a perfect location in Portscatho as there are not too many eateries in this area. Newly decorated, it’s light and airy. The cuisine is basic but of good quality and presentation with hard working friendly staff. There are outside tables as well in a small garden to the side where you can also get take away service. Visit a number of occasions during the week for tea and lunch snacks and once in the evening for dinner. Its closes at 7.30 in the evenings maybe too early for some. Ideal for families as the menu would appeal to kids as well. After reading other previous reviews it has to be considered that this place is newly opened and the staff are still finding their feet, and I believe things have improved.

“An OK lunch”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

They have a reasonably good choice of sandwiches (that come with a little side salad), jacket potatoes as well as a homemade soup of the day & drinks. They were busy when we went and the service was a little slow despite not every table being occupied.
We ordered lunch at about 1 - 1:15pm but they’d already run out of egg mayonnaise sandwiches.
They also do early dinners from 5pm to 7.30pm.
It was perfectly ok for a bite to eat for lunch.

“Rubbish”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

Very limited menu - frozen battered fish, chicken nuggets or burger. Which is odd as the restaurant is very well presented. Place was completely empty, despite that the waitresses were rarely on the scene. Little Chef has more choice!

“Poor - avoid”
Reviewed August 6, 2013 via mobile

The family ate here. Very expensive, non-existent service and atmosphere. You could cook better at home. Avoid.
