“Great spot for lunch”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

A lovely spot for lunch on a hot summer's day. Filled rolls were tasty, as was mackerel salad. Good selection of locally sourced soft drinks and ice creams. Prices are perhaps a little above average, but then so is the view!

“Loved it - a wonderful find!”
Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

Saw an article in Cornwall Today that raved about the Hidden Hut, so thought we'd give it a try ... what a great idea! We arrived too late for the special - which looked to have been a paella - so settled for filled rolls. Well - these were no ordinary filled rolls! The filling we chose was crab - mixed with chillied mayonnaise, cucumber slivers and rocket - in a fabulously crispy (but not hard) focaccia roll. It was gorgeous! We will definitely return.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

Love love love The Hidden Hut. Fantastic location with an amazing view of the beach. Tasty food made from local ingredients. Pasties were great and so were the sausage rolls. Fab homemade cakes and great coffee. We returned twice it was the highlight of the holiday.

“Simple but Brilliant”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

It is what it is. A simple café on the coast path overlooking a lovely beach. No longer the "Hidden" hut going by the number of people there. Sit where you like. On the grass, on the big rocks, on bean bags or if you want to be "posh" sit at one of the rustic tables. The food is excellent and good value. The spicy pulled pork focaccia was outstanding with an over generous amount of filling. Lovely selection of ice creams too. We will certainly be back on our next trip to Cornwall.
If anyone reads this review and chooses to visit the Hidden Hut and they have a dog then please keep it on a lead. Not everyone likes dogs and to let them run around doing what dogs do in this environment where people do sit on the ground is totally unacceptable.

“Amazing!”
Reviewed June 28, 2013 via mobile

What a gem!! We live in Falmouth and took a ferry to St Mawes and another to Place to walk along the cliffs to Portscatho...we saw six dolphins en route. The Hidden Hut met all our expectations...just wonderful. We both had the smoked mackerel chowder and .......the most gorgeous delicious chai latte (you just can't get this in the UK and it has to be the best ever!). Please please please go there.
