“A perfect post Christmas get away”
Reviewed March 10, 2010

We have now stayed at Pollaughan Meadows cottage for the last 3 years in January. We love that the cottage is easy, warm and perfectly equipped, with a wonderful, relaxing setting. Tim and Valerie are excellent hosts and nothing is ever too much trouble to ensure their guests have the perfect stay. And they are also incredibly respectful for guests privacy. The location is ideal for touring Cornwall, but also very near to St Mawes and beautiful beaches. Pollaughan for us feels like our home by the sea, and we cannot wait to return next January. Cornwall is as beautiful in the winter as the summer with the benefit of less traffic!

We stayed here with our 2 year old son in December 2009. The accomodation was lovely, jacuzzi bath gorgeous. Lovely comfy beds & the washer & dryer was a fantastic bonus. The owners, Tim & Valerie were so hospitable & friendly. Cooked breakfast can be delivered as well as evening meals. Our 2 year old loved the morning routine of feeding the animals & collecting an egg & bringing it home for us to cook. Just had a lovely relaxing stay & cant wait to return. Beautiful location with loads to see & do around.. highly recommeded

We've just had a week staying in Fallow cottage on Pollaughan Farm. We went to get away from the hectic life of London and let our 20 month old daughter explore while we relaxed - it was the perfect place. Despite constant wind and rain we had the most fabulous week and there was plenty to do around the farm, including the morning ritual of feeding the animals, followed by jumping on the giant trampoline in a field full of sheep! The wood burning stove and collection of toys kept us all happy and cosy indoors. And the cottage pie brought to the door in the evening was a really wonderful and homely treat. The surrounding coastline is beautiful and unspoilt with plenty of rock pools and the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Fowey. Polperro are a few of the places worth visiting nearby.
We would thoroughly recommend staying here and have absolutely no complaints - and it's not often you can say that.

We've stayed at Pollaughan Farm for the past three summers, and it's an amazing place, run by two fabulous people who are totally committed to your stay......and more importantly they're even more committed to ensuring that your kids leave having had the best time.

Pollaughan Farm is a series of really well thought-through barn conversations, fabulously decorated - and well worth the '5 Star' rating. All have been developed in a deliberately eco-friendly manner and as a result Pollaughan has won many Green awards for tourism.

You live in the middle of the Farm (complete with chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys and a shetland pony!) and your children will be gathered up every morning to wake up all the animals, collect eggs and generally enjoy everything a farm has to offer with 'Farmer Tim'. They can then go off exploring as much as they like throughout their stay. To make things even better Valerie is a fabulous cook, and she whistles up Aga-prepared home-cooked meals from local produce every day. To be frank, if you stay here and don't try her cooking then you're slightly mad!

What more can I say, other than we'd done our research before our first stay (Summer 2006), but were still a little sceptical that it could live up to the many plaudits and awards Pollaughan had received from several travel companies and eco-friendly organisations. Our fears were very misplaced, Pollaughan Farm is as good - if not better - than anything we'd read. (So much so that we're booked up until 2010!).

Stay here!
