Intially, I reserved a room in Parsippany due to negative comments from colleagues. However, others attending the same function in Morristown said it was a good place to stay and close by. The rooms were quite adquately sized; had 2 small bottles of complementary water in them, an iron, and newspaper delivered to the door. There was also a small workout rm, indoor pool, and hottub. The best thing was an extensive complementary breakfast in the lobby.
I would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I booked an overnight for May 14, 2005 to May 15, 2005 at The Madison Hotel, 1 Convent Station, Morristown to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We had a great dinner in a private trolley car and everything was fine until it came time for bed. The beds felt like you were sleeping on plywood and the sheets smelled like chlorine. I could not fall asleep due to back pain and the chlorine smell only enhanced the problem. We packed up our things at 3:15 a.m. and preceded downstairs to check out to go home. The lobby was a ghost town. We picked up the house phones and it rang and rang. No operator. We did an express check out by which I enclosed a note stating my problem. Our credit card was charged 129.00 for the price of the room anyway. We called this morning and FIRST spoke to a woman named Michelle who we told our problem to and who we told about our enclosed note. She became very defensive and said the individual who checked us out using the Express way probably misplaced it or threw it out or something. My husband and I believe she was covering for whomever had the night shift and was not where they were supposed to be. Michelle told us to call the manager Jeff at 3 p.m.. My husband phoned Jeff at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday and explained our situation. He to did nothing. He said he would look into why the sheets were odorous and if we wanted to be accomodated for inconvenience there was nothing he could do and that we would have to talk to the General Manager of the hotel whose name is Martin Seiger. It seems that they are just passing the buck and covering for one another because they do not want to handle customer complaints. Even if a complaint is few and far bewteen, this was mine and my husband's one year anniversary celebration. It seems they have a customer service problem. If we are paying $129.00 for the night, is it wrong to want a comfortable bed and clean sheets? We wound up driving home to Bloomingdale from Morristown at 3:30 a.m. and did not get ho
me until 4:10 a.m. I would go back to Rod's Steakhouse but I will NEVER attempt to stay there again.

We had our wedding there in the Atrium in November. The hotel ,Ben and Tim were wonderful. We took up about 65 rooms and had a beautiful brunch set up for everyone the next morning. Rod's is also delicious and serves a memorable brunch. There are some older rooms we also became aware of that weekend. We changed rooms and that was not a problem. It's not the Ritz but I live in Hampton Inns and Embassy suites weekly and would put it on the Emassy suites level. Everyone has raved about the entire weekend so I can't agree with the earlier review. Our 160 guests seemed very pleased. The fireplace made a great photo op. They are tight so don't expect freebees!!

We recently had a family event at this hotel and were most disappointed. It is old, musty, dark with small rooms and NOISY !!! Walk through the hallway and you can hear everything through the doors to any sleeping room.

The entry way was totally congested with cars, limos, huge buses -- and then bridal parties all trying to get through the same entryway with the luggage carts.

This place badly needs an overhaul. Do yourself a favor and stay someplace else
