You can stay on a paved path through the park or walk on a dirt path, or part of each. This multi-use park has a pond, soccer/baseball fields, kid's play gym, a covered gazebo for picnics and hiking/biking or rollerblading trails. It has a bathroom facility at the South Street parking area, but I believe it closes for the winter, as do the water fountains. There are three parking areas, South Street, Kitchell Road and Loantaka Way. The park is open during daylight hours and is open all year. The paths are all very flat and mostly paved, so I would rate this trail very easy. The Loantaka Brook meanders through the park and the lake offers some interesting bird sitings. This park can get crowded and is very safe and well patrolled.

The Loanataka Brook Reservation contains 570 acres of land with almost 5 miles of paved trails along the Lonataka Brook. The Reservation consists of four main areas, the Seaton Hackney Stables at South Street, the Loanataka Brook Reservation Recreation Area at South Street, the Loanataka Brook Reservation Park at Kitchell Road (main area of reservation), and the Lonataka Way access area. The Seaton Hackney Stables offers horseback riding lessons and has equestrian trials thought the reservation. The South Street Recreation Area and Loanataka Brook Reservation Park both have athletic fields, picnic areas and restrooms. There is a small lake at the Loanataka Brook Reservation Park where you can observe wild life or fish. You can actually walk or ride the length of the reservation along the paved trail. There are parking lots at either end of the reservation and at the main area in the middle of the reservation. Pets are only allowed in the reservation when leashed. This is a great park to get some exercise and see Mother Nature up close. Weekends can be crowded.
