Description: Welcome to New Jersey's Legendary Steak House Rod's Steak & Seafood Grille, an area landmark and winner of New Jersey Monthly's 'Best Steakhouse' award, offers lunch and dinner daily as well as the finest Sunday Brunch in New Jersey. The restaurant's new design, rich wood paneling and highly polished brass, lends a classic elegance to the sophisticated atmosphere. For an intimate and unique experience, dinner aboard the private Parlour Cars is sure to be remembered. Formerly the private domain of the rich and famous, these beautifully refurbished, turn of the century railway cars are exquisitely complimented by the haute cuisine of Rod's esteemed Executive Chef.

The service, quality of food and ambiance was, as always, great! We sat in the parlor car and enjoyed a lovely experience.

The food was fine -- we used to live in the area so were familiar with Rod's. They even accomodated my daughter's restrictive diet, for which I was very thankful. The only real complaint is that it is terribly loud during the dinner crowd and I think it's pricey for what it is. It's steaks -- really nothing that special. Still, it's a fine place to go if you're in the area and don't mind spending the money.

We loved everything about it: the selection, the preparation, the service, the setting. The brunch menu is posted in the restaurant website.

For good steaks and great service at a high cost.
Good bar and music often playing in the background.

We stayed in the hotel and ate dinner here that evening. The food and wine were unjustifiably expensive in my view. I like to have a glass of champagne as an aperitif, but my Swiss banker was not available to make a wire transfer to cover the cost. On the positive side, our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive, and the food itself was well-prepared. The pastry chef is particularly talented - I had a very interesting carrot cake which I recommend.
