This was our first time in Morristown, coming from the Philly area to see the great group The Mavericks. Plenty of parking in area. The town is quite lovely, easy walking. Plenty of restaurants in the area.
Theatre has great sound. With balcony seating, theatre seems more intimate than its 1300 seats would suggest. Seats were comfy. Drinks are available, wish you could bring into the theatre. Modern bathrooms.

“See Great Shows Without The New York City Hassle”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Mayo Center has a large variety of shows. The theater is within walking distance of restaurants, bars, retail stores and the historic Morristown Green. You can see a lot of performers from New York City without the hassle and travel expense of going into the big apple. You can park for a fee in a lot close to the theater or try to find metered parking on the street. Parking rules in Morristown are strictly enforced. Be prepared to walk a few blocks if you opt for on the street parking or use one of the decks downtown. This historic theater is nicely restored, air conditioned with a good sound system, and has a bar with a few light snacks. The front of the building is currently under construction. Prices vary according to the performance and seat location. My only complaint is that before the show or during intermission, the main floor lobby is overly crowded and the limited area outside the building by the sidewalk is packed with smokers. There is another lobby on the second floor that usually has works of local artists on display. It's less crowded but the bar is not usually staffed. So, get your refreshments in the main lobby before heading up the stairs.

“Perfect Venue for Peforming Arts in Central NJ”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Recently had the opportunity to see a show at the Mayo in Morristown and found it to be the perfect place in Central NJ for music or other performing arts. First thing is that it is a very easy place to reach via several major highways and interstates in the area. In downtown Morristown its located next to many restaurants and bars so its easy to meet up with other friends who may be attending the event to share a dinner or cocktail before the show. The theater has undergone renovations and its a very comfortable and mid sized venue so easy to see the stage from any seat in the house. The show I saw was a rock concert and though the music was loud the sound was not distorted and the vocals were easy to follow. Finally, the staff was very helpful and seemed to really enjoy their work, rare in many venues today.
