“Best place we've stayed in”
Reviewed August 3, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

What a fantastic place to stay - from the welcoming hamper to the final farewell we could not have asked for more. The owners Gill and Dom were always friendly and willing to chat and to inform of the local area. The courtyard was a delight, and the facilities available were exemplary. The barns were kitted out to a fantastic level we have not seen before - everything mentioned on the website was just superb. Nothing else to say apart from the praise merited.

“Lovely place in the middle of nowhere”
Reviewed July 13, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Baileys Barn is the smallest of Gill and Dom's three barn conversions. It sleeps two comfortably, is fitted out and furnished nicely and has all the mod cons you'll need. Modern, clean kitchen and bathroom too. Church Barns is a nicely tended little plot of land.

The barn may be in the middle of nowhere (that's a plus point for us) but North Norfolk has a lot to offer and plenty to see and do. Everything is not really that far away.

The welcome basket is actually very handy and Gill helped us out when we had car trouble (no, she's not a mechanic, she gave us a lift ).

Highly recommended.

Gill & Dom our hosts made sure we wanted for nothing, the welcome basket had everything we could possible need for our 1st night. Dom's bread is amazing. Baileys was a cosy retreat. Bed was lovely & comfortable, kitchen very well equipped. Bathroom big & roomy with a shower. Log burner fantastic.
Local pubs were good, food a little expensive but very tasty. Well placed for days out to North Walsham, Motor Bike Museum if your interested in bikes, owner gives personal tour & lots of information. Norwich, Coleman's Mustard Museum was quite disappointing, but the town it's self very nice. If you have the chance go to Sherringham, beautiful seaside village. Lots of good walking to be had in the summer months, unfortunately the weather was very good to do much.

“A Hidden Gem”
Reviewed October 15, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We stayed at Baileys in June for a week and loved it so much that we came back again in Sept/Oct. with our two dogs. It really is the most wonderful place to relax and unwind. The accommodation available gives you everything you could want and more from a holiday rental.. You are always assured a warm welcome and a scrumptios welcome pack to boot, along with a personalised welcome letter and doggie treats from their cats : ).. Dom & Gill stay in the background, but are there if needed.. The hamlet of Wickmere is tranquil and the many walks available take you through some stunning english countryside. Plus there is the benefit of walk along the quiet lanes without fear of being rundown or getting to muddy. We often would take the dogs out for a last walk at night and just stand and listen to the sounds of the countryside (no cars or human noise ) BLISS! Sherringham is roughly 10 miles away and Norwich approx 17 miles, so its a great place to stay if you want to explore the delights of the Norfolk countryside.

We cant recommend this place enought, but dont want to shout too loud, incase it gets too booked up..

“Warm, welcoming...........wow”
Reviewed April 1, 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Well decorated, immaculately clean, good kitchen facilities, great wetroom. Dog welcome - always a bonus!
We booked for 3 nights at the end of March. We had snow on the first night, the wind was bitter all 3 days. Underfloor heating and woodburner a lifesaver!
Cosy, comfortable accommodation. The welcome basket is a treat- Dom should bake on a daily basis.
We all had a great time - it is as good as the pics on the website. Hoping to be back when the weather improves.

a bit hard to find but worth it when we did. We actually enjoyed being a bit lost in the lovely countryside around Baileys barn. There was a genuine warmth from our hosts and the welcome basket gave us all we needed to start our weekend including warm home made bread , a real treat. The barn is located very handily for Cromer, Sherringham and Holt, all of which we visited even though it was out of season and we found to be charming. We will be back in the spring to explore the area more. A great place for a romantic few days away from the madding crowd.
