Great overnight stay. Very clean, full of character & a fantastic garden. The location is ideal for those wishing to explore North Norfolk.

Another warm and friendly welcome from Vicky the owner. We stayed in the Balcony Room which is very spacious and well appointed with a comfortable double bed, there is also a single bed which never makes the the room feel overcrowded. The well appointed en-suite bathroom is large and has a jacuzzi bath with power shower. On arrival we were offered tea and coffee which we enjoyed whilst sitting on the balcony overlooking the extensive woodland garden with sunshine streaming through the trees. A full English breakfast is cooked before you using locally sourced products from independent suppliers, you'll never find a supermarket sausage on your plate here! Breakfast is a very sociable experience with Vicky's cheerful and knowledgeable involvement about things to do and places to visit. Cromer is a short drive away and Felbrigg Hall is literally just up the road. Thornybank really is an extremely pleasant place to stay, where you will be made to feel very welcome and enjoy the comfortable facilities this excellent establishment provides. Thank you Vicky...we'll be back soon!

Room Tip: The Balcony Room offers a chance to 'sit outside' whilst still in your room...most pleasant!

Room (Balcony room): Beautiful, large, well appointed bedroom with large, clean en suite.

Location: Perfect. Nustled away down a quiet road overlooking woodland with its varied wildlife. Short walk or drive into Cromer, if you fancy.

Breakfast: Great selection, well cooked/prepared - we didn't need to eat lunch at all while staying at Thornycroft.

Parking: On site, free, easily accessible.

Vicky: warm, friendly and welcoming. Also has a good list of local restaurants to recommend if asked!

I would definitely visit again and recommend to a friend.

Room Tip: Balcony room (though we had a peek at the other room and it's just as nice)

I have stayed here 3 times, and once - because I didn't book soon enough - I had to stay somewhere else & my visit to Cromer was not the same. The rooms are so spacious and so well equipped, nothing is too much trouble, the views are amazing, you have everything you need. The breakfasts are the best I have ever had anywhere; including a selection of fresh berries etc. No-one should hesitate to stay here, the location is perfect for Cromer, yet you feel miles away from anywhere. Thank you Vicky for always making us feel welcome, as you know we will no longer be visiting your area of the country, but we wish you well for the future xx

Stayed here for the Cromer Folk Festival and cannot recommend highly enough. The rooms are immaculately clean, well equipped and have real character. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was fantastic. Weather permitting, you can enjoy a cup of tea on the balcony overlooking the extensive gardens and enjoy watching the wildlife which includes squirrels and the occasional muntjac deer.
Vicky made us extremely welcome and will happily provide help and advice. The breakfast of strawberries and cereal, full cooked English etc was well prepared and presented, setting us up for the day.
It's about twenty minutes walk or two minutes drive down the lane into Cromer Centre, past the Zoopark.
We have already booked for the 2013 festival......A gem!

Comfy bed, amazing room, breakfast....too much to eat! Fabulous. Vicky is so welcoming and relaxed, we felt like friends...my husband didn't want to leave. Neither did i!,Gorgeous views. Coffee on the balcony when we arrived. We could come and go as we pleased, which was brilliant as after a walk to the seaside (about 25 mins) passed the zoo, we were suitably tired and had a luxurious snooze, mid afternoon. Later off to the sea by car (5mins maximum) for fish and chips on the pier. Lovely location, came home relaxed and planning a return. Lots of parking and pleasant walking. Jacuzzi bath amazing, just added few too many bubbles!!! Oops. Even had a surrogate cat, Ronnie, who is gorgeous and very friendly indeed.

Room Tip: Large enough to sleep three, plus cot.
