The Rocket House is a busy little cafe on the seafront in Cromer. They use local ingredients where possible and make most things themselves. You can see where their produce comes from on a handy chalk board! You have to order at the counter, so be prepared for a wait when busy.
The food is superb, in fact, my boyfriend thought his burger was the best he has ever had!! Fish finger baps are excellent too, as are the crab sandwiches. They also sell booze so you can have a nice glass of wine or beer while looking out to sea. Lovely!

We have visited the Rocket House Cafe a few times and always found it welcoming, friendly and serving the best hot chocolate around. You can enjoy the wonderful views of the sea and pier in this comfortable cafe. The service is generally very good although you obviously have to wait a little at busy times - but just enjoy the view whilst you wait! We have never had a meal here but am sure we will do so very soon, the menu looks excellent with lots of locally sourced ingredients included and the prices are good.

Walked from Overstrand to cromer, with a visit to the rocket house planned as a treat at the end. Arrived just before 2.00pm on the bank holiday Sunday, the sun was out and we expected the cafe to be busy. We waited patiently for a table, chose our meals and joined tue queue to order. The queue to order took nearly 20 minutes, not sure how as all the are doing is taking the order and payments (not even making the drink!). However we accepted this as we had chosen to visit on a busy day. We were told a 20 minute wait for food. After waiting 55 minutes, I went to enquiry where our food was. All I received from my enquiry was 'can't you see we are busy, it's not my problem and then your food will be 2 minutes'. 10 minutes later I went to the counter to complain, by this time other people who at ordered after us had received their meals. Just after this we received our 2 burgers, but were so annoyed with how we had been treated to enjoy them. We were finally ofered an apology, but no refund for our extortionate time waiting.

The cafe has a good selection of food, and excellent sea views of Cromer pier and the fishing boats. The cafe is accessible via stairs or a lift. It sits above the very interesting R.N.L.I Lifeboat museum which appeals to adults and children alike. There is lots to do in the museum for children and it is very interesting. The cafe has w.c.s and is clean and modern. The food is good but the cakes are a bit pricey. The cafe is very popular with visitors and locals alike.
