Many many animals. Just like a zoo really.

Really enjoyed the day we spent there. I have seen some reviews that have misrepresented the place... read more

We came to visit on a quiet Saturday with 2 preschoolers . The park was clean and tidy, they had a lovely play area and kids loved wandering around . The animal enclosures were a bit small we thought . It took us a couple of hours to see everything and we also had lunch in the cafe . Didn’t enjoy that so much , the floor was grotty and they didn’t have much to offer so we settled for chips and sausage rolls ( which were very nice ) . Kids had a great time in the soft play area and the shop was well stocked . We are local and will definitely come back later in season , it was a nice afternoon .

Amazona Zoo was nice and open which allowed our young son to explore freely and look at the animals in a safe environment. He also very enjoyed the soft play which included excellent activities/facilities for the children. The cafe could do with a bit of an upgrade as it felt a little basic, we only had a drink although the food appeared reasonable.

Very disappointed. Very small outdated zoo. Only took us 20mins to walk around the park. Very few animals and for £11.50 each per adult it was certainly not worth the money.

This isn't a bad zoo, but it could do with some modernising. Some of the animals didn't look in the best condition, for example the Caimans, which seemed as though the group was too large for their enclosure (it looked as though they had been fighting). The jaguar and puma enclosures could be much bigger. The boa looked as though it had burned itself on it's light unit which was not protected. The mesh that is used to keep the big cats in is the same as what keeps the birds in.

Our 9yr loves zoos and wasn’t disappointed by this place but it felt a bit dated. I doubt older kids would get much out of it. Focusing on South America was an interesting notion but the big cats didn’t seem to have much space. Huge car park.
