We had no sleep at all, the first night was bearable the second was terrible. The noise was continuous all night at points it sounded like some kind of golfing activity was happening.
Although the staff were nice and the accommodation comfortable the attitude was unsympathetic advising us that sound proofing was needed!!!! Follow up phone call was if we had mentioned they would have moved us and we should claim from the company we booked through. If you visit here make sure you are the people in the upstairs apartments you may end up more tired and less relaxed than before you went

Room Tip: Ask for upstairs apartments!!!!!!!!! Or don't go

We’re sorry to read that you experienced some disturbance from other guests during your stay at Cromer Country Club. We encourage our guests to let us know as soon as possible if they have any concerns about their accommodation, as our front desk team will do everything they can to find a satisfactory resolution. We’re happy to look for an alternative apartment if our guests request this, although please be aware that whether we are able to offer one will depend on occupancy levels at the resort at the time.

We must advise that we receive very few complaints of this nature, and we’d like to reassure you that this incident doesn’t reflect the experiences of the majority of our guests. We really hope you’ll give Cromer Country Club another try – we’d love to see you again!

Kind regards
Kelly Howe

If you want a base to tour the Norfolk coast it would be hard to beat Cromer Country Club. We stayed in a 3 bedroom house situated on the crest of a hill with great views over the sea and down to Cromer and only a hundred yards or so from a working lighthouse. The reception staff and resort management could not have been friendlier and the restaurant served great food at reasonable prices. The resort had an indoor swimming pool and nice bar with an entertainment programme. There were also well stocked games rooms.
The accomodation was modern, recently refurbished and well equipped with a full kitchen including a dishwasher. We used the resort to explore neighbouring towns and villages such as Sheringham, Holt, Blakeney, Wells, Overstrand and many others. We particularly liked the hidden beach at Wells which reminded us of the Bahamas with the Beach Huts on stilts and the two sand dunes which become islands when the tide is in.
The resort offered an organised trip to ride on a replica Mississipi Steamboat on the Norfolk Broads which was excellent value for money and another highlight was a day out out the Dinosaur Park with our daughter and the grandchildren.

I would love to be able to say that we had a fantastic time like so many others have mentioned in their reviews, but I can't because my partner and I never got to stay at the Cromer Country Club. After booking a studio for a weekend getaway four weeks ago, my partner and I arrived on Saturday 27 April 2013 only to be told that there had been an administrative error and that the resort was over booked. We were informed that we could not stay the night and were offered accommodation in the neighbouring towns of Great Runton or Overstrand as an alternative. When we enquired as to how this had happened, we were told that because it was a timeshare ownership, those who pay the thousands of pounds each year to maintain the properties are given preferential treatment. Unfortunately, due to the good weather that had been forecast for the weekend, several people had decided to stay longer and therefore the accommodation that we booked was no longer available.

I can understand that those who own or pay the large sums of money to Diamonds Resorts for the privilege of staying in their properties worldwide should be given the opportunity to fully take advantage of the facilities that such resorts offer, but to use it as an excuse as to why there was no accommodation available is completely unacceptable. Clearly my partner and I were not valued (or should I say paying as much) as the two couples we saw check in prior to us. To top it off, we were informed that this sort of situation happens quite regularly. I can only assume that this comment was to try and offer us some lurid satisfaction that we were not the only people that this had happened to.

But all of this does not explain why, having known that they were overbooked for a week (confirmed by the deputy manager), we were not informed of the "administrative error" until we arrived on the Saturday afternoon. Had we been contacted and informed prior to our arrival that the accommodation we had booked was no longer available, we could have negotiated another weekend or requested a refund. However, this option was not given to us and we had no other choice but to accept the offer to stay in another location. This was far from ideal and was definitely not the "20 minute walk from the centre of Cromer" we had been told it was. All in all, i would definitely not recommend booking this accommodation unless you are a timeshare owner because you may find yourself staying in Kings Lynn during the busy summer months or peak periods.

All I can say to the Manager of Cromer Country Club is thank you for spoiling what was meant to be a lovely relaxing weekend away. I would recommend that in the future, rather than feed your guests with lies, you are honest with them from the outset and notify them of your mistakes as soon as possible. Honesty truly is the best policy.

We’re sincerely sorry for the inadvertent overbooking which took place at the time you were due to check in to Cromer Country Club, and for the disruption caused to your break as a result of this. The situation you encountered is definitely not the norm at our resorts, and we’re sorry for the impression that you gained on this occasion.

Unfortunately we are not able to advise guests of this prior to arrival, as we can’t confirm in advance what occupancy levels will be like at the resort at the time of them checking in: another guest who’s due to check in at the same time may fail to arrive, for example, or someone already staying at the resort could check out a day early, and this would result in there no longer being an overbooking.

We make every effort to ensure that incidents of this nature don’t arise, and endeavour to find suitable alternative accommodation elsewhere on the rare occasions that overbooking does take place. We’re sorry that the alternative hotel offered on this occasion was unsatisfactory.

We understand that our corporate office is reaching out to you directly regarding this matter, and we very much hope that they are able to bring this to a satisfactory conclusion.

We sincerely hope that this incident doesn’t dissuade you from returning to our resorts in the future, and we hope we’ll see you again.

Kind regards
Kelly Howe

Just had an overnight stay at Cromer Country Club for a Wedding. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We needed taxis booking and it was all done for us. I then noticed that check in wasn't until 4pm, but the Wedding was at 2pm and we needed to change. Again, it was no problem. Our room was ready when we arrived at 12noon. It was immaculate. A little apartment with lounge, dining area, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with the comfiest bed and a spotless bathroom. We felt like we were the first people to stay there. Amazing value too. £50.00!!!!!!!!! Will definitely return for a long weekend with the children soon.

The place lies beautifully at the cost and if you may, you can running in the nature and it is very relaxing.
The resort in essence has a high standard. The water was too cold, the restaurant delivered not as expected everything to the houses but only to the restaurant. The menu was typical fish and chips. Additional arrangements are very difficult to receive.
