just returned home from another great holiday at mountain valley.but first i must respond to the negative review,i cannot understand where that has come from the music around the bar is not
loud in fact i think it could be louder so you can hear it from the sunbeds and for the loutish behaviour around the pool tables i certainly wasn't offended at anytime during our stay and i have two young sons who really enjoyed the pooltables and table tennis, obviously the family wasn't happy with hisaonu in general and are picking holes in everything very unjustly in my view.
anyway back to my family's stay at mountain valley for the second time absolutely fantastic
the bar staff were brilliant and adem, sally and donna can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable
the rooms are cleaned everyday and were spotless the whole stay, the food in the restaurant is second to none and reasonbly priced.if you want a more livelier night the town is only 10 mins walkaway with numerous bars and restaurants offering a variety of food chinese, indian and turkish.
so all in all another great stay and weve already booked again for next year
thanks to everyone for a great stay

“Another great visit!”

Just got back from our second visit to Mountain Valley! We stayed in the villa 5 years ago for 2 weeks and loved it then so decided to go back this year. Due to the popularity of the place we only managed to get the villa for one week and spent the second week in 2 of the apartments. The staff were vey accommodating in managing to get the apartments together and did all they could to make the move a smooth one with help from the waiters and bar staff to move bags and cases.
Every member of staff including bar staff, waiters, cleaners and owners were all wonderful, always friendly and helpful and made the holiday very relaxing. Our 3 children all felt happy and comfortable in the surroundings and loved the holiday as much as we did! Booking to go back soon!

“Driven out by the noise and chavs”
Reviewed August 30, 2012 for a stay in August 2012

Having booked on the recommendation of friends, we were happy with the standard of the rooms - very basic but clean. The majority of staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you and the food was truly superb - we ate there every morning and night of our two week stay. What let it down for us was the hotels policy of playing very loud Ibiza style club music from 10 in the morning. All that was missing was the foam! On holiday we like to ease ourselves into the day gently over a quiet breakfast. This was not possible. I complained several times only to be told 'people want it' - what people??!!!!?? On the occasions I did complain we were the only ones there who weren't staff. I was ignored. This music doesn't go off until 4.30pm when there is an hour of silence before the evenings music starts which is quieter and much more easy listening. We were forced to leave the hotel every day just to get away from it. I spoke to the owner (who was very helpful in every other aspect) and told him the cacophony had driven us from his hotel and pointed out that often no one else present but were ignored. He just shrugged and said 'people want it' - WHAT PEOPLE? - has he ever asked them??? It really is purely for the 'enjoyment' of the staff. I asked why the music in the evenings was so much quieter and relaxing. He replied 'because I am there' - so clearly his comfort and taste is more important than his guests.

Another issue for consideration if you are planning to stay here is the rowdy groups of tattooed lads and ladettes permitted to swear and make as much noise as they like as they monopolise the pool tables and bar. Call me a snob (perfectly happy with that) but it was far too chavvy, as was all of Hisaronu. Really awful. Really cheap and nasty. Made one ashamed to be British.

“Lovely relaxing holiday”
Reviewed August 23, 2012 for a stay in July 2012

we stayed at Mountain Valley for two weeks in the middle of July with 2 adults and a 15 year old and a 9 year old this year, from the minute we arrived we were made very welcome, the bar staff were really lovely - could not do enough to help you! there was not any entertainment throughout the holidays but the bar prices are reasonable, and the pool tables are free, the drinks prices are very similar everywhere you go, there is not much change.
The hotel rooms were good, standard rooms, not much room to cook, but a good size fridge, a kettle a portable oven and a small hotplate, the beds are fine, and the room we stayed in had two balconys, make sure you ask for a room that is not on the ground floor, they are quite and dark, they tend to get more bugs than the other rooms. We did not have a problem with bugs or bites, the apartments are all fitted with mesh in the windows to stop the bugs getting in! if you dont book the hotel through a travel company you get the air-con and safe included in the price.
The food at the hotel was fantastic, the evening menus were fantastic, LOTS of choice, turkish, english, fish, steak e.t.c. our 9 year old is VERY fussy and all he wanted was a plain fish and chips, we asked them to do a half size portion for half the price! one day he was sick so they even took it up to the room for him and kept checking that he was alright, i cannot tell you how lovely the people were!
the town of hisaronu was 10 minutes walk away and there were lots of choice, it was a really fantastic place, check the shops on the main street where you dont get hassled as much as you do at the market, although both places were lovely. If you eat out try a trip into Olu Deniz, the restaraunts are lovely and its nice to sit upstairs and watch the sunset. Also, the beach was nich, the beach was pebble but the lagoon was sand, both equally nice, the showers and toilets on the beach were clean and free. If you take a trip, try the Alibaba boat trip, good boat prices and a fresh barbecue, really great!
Finally, the pool was lovely and clean, there wasnt a shortage of sunbeds, as long as you got up befor 8 or 9ish. It was a really lovely place and perfect for a relaxing family holiday!

Just returned from a fanatastic two week holiday at Mountain Valley. First time staying there and the whole family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Apartment was good, cleaned daily, staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you, pleasant pool, relaxing gardens and bar/restaurant. The apartments are 10 minutes walk from Hisaronu and 10 minutes taxi ride from nearest beach which is beautiful. We can't wait to book again! Thank you to all the staff for making us so welcome.

“Great time at Mountain Valley”

Just back from a lovely holiday at Mountain Valley. The apartment was good, the staff really friendly and the food excellent. Many thanks to Adem for taking us to the hospital in Fethiye when our wee boy needed medical attention after bumping his head in Hisaronu. We had 3 really great weeks and will be hoping to return next year. It's a calm and relaxing place with perfect temperature, even in July. The fairly high altitude allows the excessive heat and humidity of the coast to be avoided. For us and the bairns it was just right. Thanks again.
