Great place clean friendly no complaints would go back again the cleaning staff spot on as for large families so what everybody deserves a holiday whats the problem some people should get a life we had a nice room linen changed every two days yes we was asked a few times to book a themed night by the staff but a polite no thank you was enough the bar was always open with good service infact when we arrived at 2.30 in the morning we was asked if we wanted a drink

We stayed at Palm Gardens for the fourth time this year. The apartments are fantastic, clean and maintained. The pool is great and Icmeler is great, I absolutely love it. My only problem is the staff. They are always miserable looking. They choose which families they want to be friendly to and if that family is eating and spending all their time on the complex then they are the ones they treat brilliantly. I book self catering because I want to eat at different places and try different things. I don't like staying by the pool every day for a fortnight. We always came back at night and had drinks, but were ignored as the families who spent all their time there were the ones that were important. The staff should take a few tips on customer service from the staff at the other bars and restaurants. I asked for a coffee a few times on my return to the hotel and was told no it was too late, It was just after 11! considering people are drinking and partying until very late I thought this was a poor excuse. As far as I was concerned the bar was still open and was serving drinks so why couldn't I get a cup of coffee.

I don't think it will put me off staying at the apartments, after all I only need to sleep there, I don't have to spend my money at the bar just to get some attention!

We have just got back from Palm Garden Apts we have never been to Turkey before apart from a day trip from Rhodes to Marmaris five yrs ago but back then we were informed Icmeler was quiet but definitely has changed if indeed it ever was quiet. When we landed in the apartments to extremely loud booming music & kids running amok I thought what on earth have we come to. The apartments themselves are very clean & the girls do an excellent job, towels changed daily & the apartments were ok. Now for the negative I only had 2 hot showers in the full fortnight in the end I think I got used to taking a cold shower! Music in bar is also pumped out over the pool which can be intrusive especially if you have like us come to chill. Too many kids when we were there & they were really loud & took over all the pool area & the bar at night, I am not saying all the children there were misbehaved because they weren't but there was a group of kids who seemed to think they could run around shouting at each other & they could be heard even over the music, the parents didn't seem to care that they were causing a nuisance as the parents also seemed to shout to each other, to these parents I would say if you are going to keep your kids off school during school term time then at least respect other guests who have just as much right as you to enjoy their holidays! As for Palm Gardens why do you feel it necessary to pump out music & although we already knew about the entertainment on two nights of the week why can't the doors in the bar area be closed to contain noise, I am not a party pooper but if we wanted to join in surely it should be by choice rather than being able to hear all the going on's when you choose not to take part, these apartments are very close to all entertainment of Icmeler so why can't guests be bothered to take themselves off site & go & try the bars, restaurants around Icmeler instead of expecting these apartments to provide all means of entertainment. I would though like to thank the rep Sean who did seem to care that his guests enjoyed their stay. I would only recommend these apartments & indeed the resort of Icmeler if you quite like the idea of being in Ibiza rather than Icmeler, if this prevents anyone who is looking for a quiet break then I will have done my good deed as I wish we were told before we travelled here. However we did use our base to explore this part of Turkey so not all bad, please see reviews for Ephesus etc

My girlfriend and I arrived at Palm Garden Apartments after more than twelve hours of travelling (we live a two hour drive from the nearest airport). First thing we noticed was the music was very loud and there were a lot of kids about. Now I am not averse to music but first impressions count and this was our first visit to these apartments.

We have holidayed in September for many years and we have never been to a place with so many kids running around and noisy at that. Why do some parents not keep better control of their children especially when they are taking them on holiday during school term time?

There were some families who did keep their children in tow, but some others basically took over the place and it was hard to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Normally we would eat often in the restaurant of the place we are staying in, but the restaurant always seemed to be full of loud families and kids running around. We are adults and we want to eat a meal in peace. So we avoided it and ate in places in town.

Another reviewer who has been a few times mentioned this and it seems it was a one off as the apartments are normally quieter, but as I mentioned above first impressions count.

On a positive note we did some great trips, especially the trip to Ephesus and Pumakkale booked with Thomson's. On that note please avoid the local trip operators as they are not all they seem and poor value. Stick with your holiday company trips it will be worth it.

The apartments were clean, comfortable and spacious. Towels changed every day which is unheard of in many places. The cleaners were friendly and hard working. All in all we enjoyed our holiday and would have scored the place higher if not for the loud music at times (music is fine just not at such volumes) and the large number of children for the time of year. We do expect there to be some of course but this was like the middle of the school holidays at times.

Oh, I think the owners should do something with the entrance - a large metal door. It reminded me of the front of Slade prison from Porridge. A nice wooden gate would have been better.

Room Tip: Get a higher floor 1st or 2nd.

Me , my partner and two children , my parents stayed here ! I've just been reading through the reviews ....... And honestly laughing at some folks moaning about toilet paper !! It's self catering , u want bog roll in your room go pay for all inclusive !!! The staff here here work 12-15 hr shifts and they work bloody hard for not much money !!!! They are amazing , nothing too much trouble , sometimes they were quiet at breakfast times , but they were working in the bar all hrs so no bloody wonder !! The cleaners were amazing , you asked you got !!! Our apartment was cleaned everyday , our bed was changed everyday , not many self catering places do that!!!!!!!!!!!! Some of the complaints made by folk our laughable , you want everything pay for 5 star ...... Some folk honestly want everything for nothing!!! I got engaged while we were over there , Ali and his staff threw me and my partner a party , made us a cake , and bought me a rose and a card signed by all the staff!! We booked again today to go back next year , I honestly can't wait , my kids are so excited , they are 5 and 8 and the staff were amazing with them , patient , friendly , joined in of an evening !!! I honestly can't wait to see the place again ........... And we ate out every evening except when there was entertainment , and we were always given a friendly welcome at the bar when we got back!!!!!!! As for someone saying no one supervised kids around the pool there YOUR kids YOUR responsibility!!!! There not childminders!!! U don't wanna watch ya own kids go to a place with a kids club!!!!!! All I can say is our experience along with hundreds of others was superb , don't let a few idiotic and really minor complaints put you off , fantastic family holiday . Roll on September 2014 xxxx
