Very sad to see the deterioration of a once great hotel. No the hotel does not justify a 4star award. Furniture and fittings are sadly all rough around the edges. The drinks are the same as any other all inclusive establishment, but the food leaves a lot to be desired!!........ Thanks for providing Cupids next door lively entertainment, smiles and conversation, very, very nice people, not saying that the staff in Letoile are not pleasant but the reception staff need to be wakened up!! Now there's a hairdresser barber shop down stairs give it a large berth I saw several elderly customers part with a lot of money as they once have you in the shop they offer treatments but refuse to give over prices saying that "it doesn't matter, we will sort something out". Give the
elderly the information they seek!!!..... And yes the lady doctor/ nurse was selling bags to the elderly at 30 lira as the lady said if she wanted a bag she would shop for one, but the manicurist joined the fray and the old lady parted with 70 lira for her manicure pedicure and bag!!!?..... Yes
got caught out too but as I had won the bingo the night before, so I could afford my manicure and hair done even though I only went in with my husband for him to get a Turkish shave he landed up having a facial, haircut and pedicure I spoke to others who had been taken in too. The entertainment is a joke at one point they sold bingo tickets at 20 lira promising that whatever they took in the prize would reflect but hey ho the two comedians were openly seen sharing the surplus between themselves and the prize money only increased to 150 lira. Suffered every d

with the same music (ancient) on repeat whilst the 2 guys lolled about. Again on quiz night they
shared the takings in full view of all in the lounge. The sun loungers had towels?? Not people
on them from 5.30 am....... now what's that about??? Perhaps we are spoiled in our country? ....
the smokers all resorted to smoking indoors especially in the food halls!!!....the rooms were basic
and clean the bath had even been given a lick of paint making it really slidy!!!..... No mats!! But
hey ho we are on "holiday" and as the saying goes "been there, done that". Forget about the
best of the hotel the jewellers presented as genuine, honest, caring people who spoke to
everyone, yes these two men are worth their weight in gold!!!!!......... Take lessons!!

Room Tip: Book another hotel!!!.....

This was our 4th trip to this hotel, and we probably wont go back! Even though we met lovely people, the standards have definitely dropped.
The reception staff were new and not welcoming or helpful in solving our requests.
We asked for a quiet room and ended up in a noisy room with a shower which drowned the bathroom and ceiling.
The maid did change the bin and straighten the bed, but forgot towels and loo rolls, didn't clean the floor and didn't touch the balcony (which was dirty when we arrived).
Both lobby lifts had minimal lighting and the lift near the dining hall smelt terrible like 2 years ago.
Food was mostly chicken and salads but edible and tasty, though several times they ran out of things like bread within an hour of the opening times...
As usual the evening entertainment was minimal and was repeated weekly so we saw the same acts twice over the 2 week stay. But the music around the pool was mainly from the 1950's, 60's, and 70's, Tiger-feet by Mud was played everyday at 1pm which drove us crazy! OK many guests here are retired but even they didn't sign up for the "Hotel California".
The Thomas Cook rep Carolynn was helpful and they Dalayan last day trip (inc Lykia Dalaman) was a really good end to the holiday...
Icmeler is still really safe, clean and special, and the meals are cheap enough to eat out so we'll probably go back but not to the L'etoile.

We are a normal working class family who do not complain without cause. This was our first and last visit to this poorly run hotel. We arrived in the early hours.A non existent welcome and no assistance to our tiny and basic room immediately made us feel disappointed. This dissapointment extended to the basic and poorly presented food, the shabiness of the hotel in general and the drinks which were only available in plastic tumblers ,thats if you could actually drink the muck.somehow this is 4 star rated,as is the aqua hotel next door.Do yourself a favour and spend the extra money to stay at the aqua or somewhere as nice, otherwise you will be spending twice that amount dining out every day as so many of the september guests did this year.I do not blame the staff who even appologised for the poor conditions.

Room Tip: we had a totally unsuitable room which the manager was happy to upgrade at a cost of 80£.

having just been to this hotel I thought I would give and opinion on it so here goes. The catering was excellent except for the monotony of chicken being the main choice most days. The staff couldn't have been better. Always cheerful and attentive. The pool area was a bit cramped and crowded at times and some of the loungers and umbrellas have seen better days. Having said that the pool was maintained on a regular basis and was clean and safe for all. In the rooms the air conditioning units tended to be a bit too loud for a good nights sleep with them running but without them it could be extremely warm and uncomfortable. The only option was to leave the balcony door open but this allowed all other noises in. The bathroom was a bit on the tired side and in need of some TLC. Plumbing up to usual Turkish standard. Overall I would say that the 4 star rating is just about right. Almost but not quite.

Room Tip: Ask for one on the far side from the pool as they were cooler and quieter than to ones on the other...

Returned Sunday after 14 days all inclusive at L'Etoile, 9 of us in party aged 20 to 60, we had a lovely time, rooms whilst extremely hot weather still touching 40' hotel staff very good, friendly charming, entertainment could improve, bingo every night!, other entertainment was reasonable, but shared by adjacent hotels too! food hall is amazing, something for everyone, morning noon and night! - Lazy days trips to 5 bays and bbq trip to Dalyan a must - see Deniz just on beach front. very enjoyable, will be going to Turkey and probably Icmeler again

Room Tip: avoid rooms facing south over pool, go for those facing east, (less direct sun light)
