Have been to Icmeler5 times and this is the only hotelthat I have been to twice Such a nice friendly hotel with lovely staff Foods fine and plenty of it but there are so many bars and restaurants to eat at anywayIt is only a short walk to the must do market only a few minutes to the sea boat rides and taxi boats also the dolmus is a very cheap way to travel but turkey is inexpensive anyhow The siesta seems to attract friendly people I can honestly say you won't find better

Room Tip: Bijou rooms will sleep three if you don't have much luggage fine if not then a bit of a squeeze

Just back from a week at the Siesta on an all-inclusive basis and can't rate it highly enough. A perfect location for exploring Icmeler and Marmaris.

Rooms - we were initially a little surprised at the rooms which are fairly basic and quite small, however they are more than comfortable and perfectly clean. All seem to have an adequate size balcony and a TV, although there aren't many English TV channels. The bathroom is again quite compact but it was well maintained. For the amount of time that we spent in the room, it was ideal for our needs.

Hotel - well maintained throughout with a nice reception area which provided seating, pool table an internet access. Free wi-fi was also available which was usable in the reception area and also next to the pool. This was a great facility which we hadn't expected at a 3 star hotel and even better that it was free of charge. Dining for all meals took place either inside or outside under a canopy which was next to the pool area. The pool area itself was quite compact but was more than sufficient for the people using it. Although there were ample sun loungers whilst we were there, we could imagine that in the very peak season that managing to get one could be an issue. Tables and chairs were also available at the top end of the pool next to the bar area and gave the opportunity to sit in the shade. The friendly hotel cat also makes an appearance throughout the day!

Food & drinks - breakfast was continental primarily with a few hot options. Cereals, bread, cold meat and cheeses were all available and were what we expected from this class of hotel. Lunchtime offerings usually consisted of a delicious soup, plentiful salads, rice, chips and one or two meat dishes plus vegetables. Dinner was similar in what was offered but the choice was always different. We have stayed at all inclusives before and found there to be lots of repetition but we could honestly say that we didn't have the same choice of main meal twice in the week. Quality of food was was also excellent. Snacks provided in the afternoon consisted of burger and chips but pizza was also available on request. It would have been nice to have some variety with this during the week but that would be the only small criticism. Cake and biscuits were also available later in the afternoon. We did find that towards he end of the week, no cake was offered and another day it was quite stale.
Drinks were available between 10am and 1130pm from the only bar at the hotel which was next to the pool. Spirit measures were very generous, beer was Efes and many of the soft drinks were brand names (eg. Diet Coke) which we thought was excellent for a 3 star property. Tea and coffee was also on offer.

Staff - very friendly on the whole and took time to speak with you and ask if everything was OK.

Location - perfect for exploring Icmeler with plenty of local shops, restaurants and bars within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Transfer from Dalaman Airport took around 2 hours. The beach was a 10 minute walk and again, there were plentiful bars and restaurants along the beach front. If you want to go to Marmaris, turn left out of the hotel door, walk one minute to the main road where you can flag down one of the orange and white dolmus buses. They take around 10 minutes to get there and stop where you want them to, costing less than £1 per person each way. You can also get the taxi boat from a jetty on the beach which costs around £3 each but gives a nice view of the coastline from the water.

Overall - we can't wait to go back to the Siesta and had a really relaxing week. What's more, the price we paid offered excellent value for money and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff made you feel welcome and many of the guests staying had been coming there for years which says a lot about a place. If you are looking for a good value holiday in the sun, head to the Siesta!

We stayed at this hotel April 2011 although the only option I had was July for this review. I had previously stayed at this hotel 10 years before and to be honest not much had changed. We went bed and breakfast because I have been to Icmeler 3 times and knew the area. Most of the people at the hotel were on all inclusive and mainly stayed glued to the pool bar all day drinking. They got a bit noisy as the day went on and when the bar stopped serving them at 11PM they decided to venture out into town. The hotel staff were friendly and getting friendly with the pool barperson was a bonus as we often were given free drinks from others all inclusive. Icmeler is a great place to stay, much better in my opinion than the larger neighbouring Marmaris. If I was to go again then I would spend a bit more and stay in a better hotel. That said for what we spent it was ok and wouldn't want to put people off staying there. We obviously only had breakfast and that was ok.
Hassling could be a problem for some in Turkey from getting you to eat, drink or to buy clothes, jewellrey etc. Although it can get annoying at times it's all done in very friendly manner wishing you a good day when declined. I wouldn't let that put you off either. All in all Icmeler is a great place to stay with plenty to do.

We had originally booked the Siesta for a 10 night stay but found out that the they didn't have a booking for us but they put us into a room until they could sort it out.

The room itself was basic, small but very clean and although we only tested it for 1 night I'm confident that a 10 nights in the room would have been pleasant.

We only had an evening meal and as previous reviewers have commented the food was adequate but I'm sure we would have spent quite a few nights eating out to get some variety. Our evening was spent at the pool bar having the local drinks as this was part of the all inclusive and my wife was taken aback by the strength of the vodka and cola which was very generous on the alcohol. It was a pleasant evening with a relaxing atmosphere.

Our stay at the Siesta made way for the Hotel Alinda which was a world away in service, room and facilities and not in a good way!

Icmeler is a great holiday destination and there is plenty to do and see, the locals are very welcoming and work hard so that you will return to their restaraunt, bar or shop. Most of them have people trying to get you to come in and spend money which can be entertaining or tiresome so if you have a place in mind to go so learn to say you have already eaten or away to meet friends.

In all our one night made us wish I had pushed with our operator to stay there for the full holiday and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
