This was our second time at the Alvaro and it was just as enjoyable.
Rooms are still tired and in need of some tlc but are clean and spacious. Balcony is large and all face the pool area. Maids visit every day to empty bins and tidybeds . Not sure how often floors are mopped but always clean. Towels changed every other day but you can always ask for clean if need be. Beds changed approx every 3/4 days. Eddie is an excellent bar manager who has everything and everyone running like clockwork - nothing is too much trouble. Charlie, Masood and rest of staff are friendly and helpfull and are great with the kids. Food is great, we ate there most lunchtimes. No hassle about eating out elsewhere, you come and go as you please with no questions. The only problem this year was with the sunbeds. Last year the rule was no towels before 8am. This year I think towels were being put down when people came in late. My daughter was woken by the prayer man at 5am so she went out with the towels and there were only 2 beds left (ok for us). We will hopefully be back next year.

we stayed at the alvaro as a party of 8 family members (myself,my partner, our two sons aged 11 and 8,my parents,my mother in law and my auntie) for two weeks from the 6th august,we arrived at 3.30 in the morning and was greeted at reception by very helpful staff who carried our cases up to our rooms, next to each other on the 3rd floor over looking the pools, the staff then made us drinks at the pool bar and chatted to us about the resort, usually when we,ve arrived anywhere at that time in the morning we have been left to fend for ourselves so this was a very good start to the holiday! the holiday sarted properly after a couple of hours sleep and we woke up to a very hot day.it was scorching for the full two weeks. heaven! the rooms were basic and ours was very hot so we payed for the air con but i don,t go on hol to spend a lot of time in the room! it was very clean and was mopped and tidied every day we was there and fresh towels left, and nothing went missing from our rooms as other people have said they found this a problem but we had valuables in ours from jewellrey to i-pods etc so plenty of temptation, we didn,t find it a problem to get sunbeds as i thought there was plenty of them but then if we were going out for the day we don,t reserve sunbeds as i find this very ignorant but sadly a lot of people do it whereevr you go, it isn,t the alvaros fault.the pool area was fab for my sons and the water slide was very popular. i found the area very safe and we could see them from where ever we was, the soft play area was a bonus as it was shaded. the food was delicious, lots to choose from aswell as the usual burgers chips hot dogs etc. we ate there most days and a few nights aswell, the curries are well worth a try as is the lasagne and mezes. there was a tukish night while we was there which was really enjoyed by all. cheese rolls to die for! (eddie my mother says thanks for the jacket potato!) the entertainment was dancing of all kinds even street dance and break dance which was good for the kids. then came the midnight swimming! crazy! eddie and redvan made the night fantastic even getting thrown in the pool themselves! they couldn,t do enough for us while we were there and were excellent with the kids, (go galatasary eddie!). eddies t-shirts always made us laugh. our boys made some great friends and we found the two weeks brilliant, mostly down to the alvaro and it,s staff, eddie even went out of his way to get my mother in law some table mats to take home. a nice touch, on our last morning eddie came in early to say bye and when the coach came evry member of staff took our cases for us, and waved us off, excellent service. overall a holiday is what you make it but this one was made extra special for us because of the alvaro and it,s staff being outstanding, see you next year guys hopefully xx

Just come back from the alvaro. This hotel is very clean ie the rooms, pool area, pool cleaned daily morning and night.
The staff are lovely Eddie and Charlie are very helpful.
The only disappointing thing about the alvaro is if you want a lie in then you haven't a chance of getting a sunbed. People are getting up about 6 in the morning to put towels out so we had to join them or else we would have had no bed. Some people were very rude and stare at you for putting a towel on a sunbed and was told it was their area. Not very nice when you are on your holidays.
This is the only thing that let's these lovely apartments down. What a shame!

Just got back from great holiday at the Alvaro apartments . The rooms were basic but clean.
we had great fun with eddie and charlie who work behind the bar and round the pool .
Had great time playing water polo apart from one lady with a chip on her shoulder with baby in pool while game was taking place, other than that it was a really enjoyable and relaxing holiday.
No trouble getting sunbeds in the mornings .
Food in the hotel was exellent ,the indian meal in the bar was very good.
Had a great time on jeep safari and lots to do in resort.

We have just got back from alvaro the apartments themselves need updating but are cleaned thouroughly everyday the pool area is also spotless. We had a great holiday . Charlie n Eddie were funny.on the negative side it was really difficult to get a sunbed unless u got up at 5 am . Also if this was your 1 st time here the other guests made u feel like u shouldn't b there . Also I was told by guests we couldn't use certain sunbeds as it was there area what sad people. Get a life. Overall it was a lovely place.
