We went to the Fantasia last year in a family vacations...
I've been to a few "all inclusive" hotels for leisure and I have to say Fantasia was a great experience... not the best but it was great...

They also made a white night with a special show it was just amazing!
I really would recommand it...

One of the single worst experiences I have had at a hotel. Rude and arrogant front desk service, charge for everything (including water in a half board set up - is this for real), ants in the rice at dinner... I could go on.

They actually stopped my friend and I from bringing in a bag of chips and some juice we bought outside the hotel. Explanation - they don't allow food and drinks in the hotel as they are 'a quality establishment'... this explanation confused me, until I realized they are just trying to fleece you for everything through mini bar and basic supplies (see above re water).

This hotel actually made us pick up our stuff and get the hell out of Iclemer/ Marmaris altogether. For anyone tossing it up, go to Bodrum - an unbelievable town compared to the garish nightmare and continuous rip off you find in this area.

Room Tip: Don't go to this hotel

We booked the hotel through expedia (venere.com) 1 room with one double bed. Upon check in they gave ys 2 single beds, front office manager how can he tell if we are a couple, and not 2 single guys or girls; a sorry stupid excuse. It seems he did understand that I booked one double bed and he said no other rooms available. The hotel mentions that they have room amenities, but they forgot to say no hot water kettle the basic of any 3 star hotel. Safety deposit box key yes you have to pay for it. Breakfast wad so poor, would you believe that drinking water is chargeable at breakfast. Overall the staff is very rude. My life biggest mistake is staying at this hotel. I'll make sure all my friends and acquaintances know about it. The worst experience ever.by the way I wrote venere.com customer service and they did not bother to reply.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in July having admired it for a few years when passing. The hotel is amazing, fantastic views and extremely clean, the staff were nice although their English was very limited. The breakfasts were great, however the evening meals were not as good but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. The beach which is literally 2 seconds away is lovely and the towel man very pleasant. We loved this hotel and would go back but perhaps bed and breakfast would be a better option for us. On leaving I was given a lovely Turkish braclet which I thought was a lovely touch. This is an adults only hotel and its great if you just want to relax as a couple.

Just got back after a FANTASTIC 10 night stay at the Fantasia Hotel. The Hotel is located towards the end of the beech but is only a short walk to all the local shops and restaurants.

Rooms are modern and are serviced every day with sheets / towels being changed, the walk in shower is awesome (love a good shower me!). We were in a side room which did overlook a hotel that is currently under construction but to be honest we spent all our time relaxing by the beech or the pool!

The staff at the Fantasia are very nice indeed (some speak limited English but they give it a go!) Just want to say thanks to Inanc (waiter) who was always on hand to help us if we needed it (sorry we didn't get to say goodbye!)

There was always a large selection of different foods come meal times and we were satisfied overall.

There wasn't much in the way of entertainment except for the generic 'Turkish Night' but to honest we were not that fussed, with all the bars a short walk away we didn't want to just sit in the hotel.

The Hotel is adults only which meant the atmosphere was generally relaxed and peaceful. If you are a younger couple (as we are) and you want a lively atmosphere this is not the hotel for you so book with that in mind.

Overall our stay was pretty much faultless. Thanks Fantasia you were awesome :)

Room Tip: Try and get a Sea View room is possible, we met a couple who had one and the views are incredible...

Position wise this hotel is great - although it is at the end of the beach and gets more wind and shadow than the better hotels further up the beach from late afternoon who are still bathed in sunshine at that time.....
Although a double bed booked for sole occupancy - I was initially given a twin bedded room which I declined... And later was offered the type of room I wanted on a lower floor....
As I was hungry I went out in search of food that was impossible at 2am and later returned around 3.30am after shopping to have room service in the lobby....
My scrambled eggs and salad that were estimated to take 10 minutes took one hour to prepare....
And I was upset to be charged 5TL for one tiny Turkish tea in a glass that did not even taste good.... In the whole of Turkey the most I have ever seen Turkish tea charged for has been 2TL and there is no justification to rip off guests for tea that is not even made with bottled water and tastes disgusting.... The herbal tea in bigger cups is charged at 6TL....
I was treated very rudely by staff in the restaurant who mostly do not speak English and are reluctant to even prepare the table or clear the table at meal times.....
I got my own cutlery from other tables and also cleared my own plates at the end of my meal....
The cuisine choices on the buffet are limited - and the meat and chicken are inedible and tough...
The fish is smelly..... The only decent dishes were noodles with walnuts that I saw twice throughout my stay at the hotel and the eggplant dishes and stuffed vegetables that were edible despite being greasy.....
There were salads and fruits which was a saving grace when not possible to eat anything else on the buffet....
There is one night a week when there is Turkish night which was enjoyable and decent effort is made to prepare edible dishes and a free cocktail is offered...... By the way this Turkish night is on a Friday so better not to go out to other places on that night - there is no music offered at meal times........
Meal times you have to pay for your own drinks,,,,,,,,
I ordered a bottle of Sultaniye white wine which was very old.....
I took the half undrunk bottle with me to put in the mini bar but the next day when I tried it the wine tasted like gasoline...
I was charged for drinking 2 beers when I only tried one from the mini bar in the room.....
even after reporting this mistake I was told I was a liar......
The bed in the room I discovered on the second day when I turned over the pillow had hairs on it and the other pillow as well and inside the bed....
The sheets are not changed regularly - maybe every 3/4 days - although they did change the sheets when I let them now about the hairs all over the be sheets and pillow cases - so really check your bed - before you get in the first night.....
There were also long dark hairs in the wardrobe that are never cleaned.....
I was charged 20euros deposit for a safety deposit key and was assured that it would be returned on checkout.... I was charged 10 euros for each hour I stayed later than 12 noon which was 50 euros till 5pm.... Although stupidly I paid my entire bill including the 10TL for the beer I never had...... and the 50 euros for the extended hours.... I totally forgot to ask for my 20euro deposit back when I returned the safety deposit key and it was not offered to be returned....
Also no invoice was given of charges or monies paid with zero balance....
This only came to my mind after getting to the airport when it was too late to do anything....
I was given a bracelet from the hotel which although was a nice gesture ended up losing some charms which was upsetting soon after leaving the hotel and before I got to the airport....
Although I reported ths oversight about my 20 euros deposit as I will be returning to the area in four weeks time - I was tol they did not have the money and it had been returned which was untrue... I did have a friend with me who was also witness that the 20 euros was never returned..
DO NOT GIVE THE SAFETY DEPOSIT KEY BACK TILL YOU GET YOUR ") EUROS DEPOSIT FIRST - OTHERWISE YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR MONEY BACK AND BE ACCUSED OF BEING A LIAR..... I HAVE THE RECEIPT AND THE HOTEL REFUSES TO GIVE BACK MY 20 EUROS,,,,,, Just like the 10TL I was charged for beer I never had..... NO list is provided to know what is supposed to be in the mini bar....
On one occasion there was an upsetting experience when a new hotel guest who was male joined me at my table and was accused of eating food from the buffet that he was not entitled to as he was not staying in the hotel.... No checking was made...... The waiter got the manager to come who strangely was the upsetting guy who made the problem about the beer issue from the mini bar.... Again later in the holiday the same issue happened again when I walked into dinner with a different hotel guest and was told he would cost extra..... It had not been checked that he was anew guest staying in the hotel....
The beach guy is also rude and refused to put some sun cream on the top of my back one afternoon when it was burning.... In the end I found a Turkish lady to help instead.......
Although I ended up having a good relaxing holiday in Icmeler - it was certainly not due to the aggravation I was subjected to throughout my holiday at the Fantasia hotel whilst there and since getting home and trying to get my 20 euros returned when I return to the area after Ramaan in four weeks time.... I have visited Icmeler many times over 4 years - and know many people in the area...... It is sad that this hotel does not listen to advice to improve the quality of their meat chicken and fish and they are well known in the area as having extremely bad quality of food that is mostly inedible..... It is on a two week rotation that is never changed and the second week is better than the first week of the cycle....
The hotel is for 16+ that I liked and I never saw any children or teenagers around which helped to give a more relaxing atmosphere despite the unfriendliness of the staff at the hotel....
NO food or drink is permitted to be brought from outside......
I ever used the small gym facilities - but the guy who did a treatment for me in the spa was very rough and also gave me bruises from his heavy handed aromatherapy massage..... and he never spoke any English.......
The best meal I ate while in Icmeler was at the Lure restaurant at the Aqua hotel that is further up the beachfront..... and I had the most divine treatment and massage by Engin at the life spa at The Hotel Aqua too... That is truly a 5 star hotel with wonderful staff and superb Spa......
The Fantasia has a long way to go as at present it deserves to be classified as a 3 star hotel and not the 4 stars that it currently is classified as..... The night manager Seref was always helpful - although he was the one who create problem that one guy had to pay extra to go to dinner with me who was already a guest of the hotel.......
I only saw security at the hotel on a couple of occasions at night by the beach side of the hotel and not on the two occasions I needed help to get away from guys who had followed me along the beach front and did not want to leave me alone........
I never went in the pool that is cleaned every day as I prefer the sea.........
But honestly believe that the care they take with the pool - should also be extended to taking care of hotel guests - there is no guest relations at the hotel and the hotel manager does nothing about anything you say - which is upsetting.......and he was the one who called me a liar about the beer I never had and also that I never got my 20 euros deposit back despite still having the receipt in my handbag..... I did request for the contact details of the owner of the hotel that has not been given and no copy of my invoice has been sent to me although requested.....
My emails to the hotel are rudely ignored......
Hope my account of the way I was treated at the hotel can give holidaymakers a true picture of what the Fantasia Hotel in Icmeler is really like.. and you can be warned what to expect when and if you ever stay at this hotel by choice.......... The HOtel Aqua is by far and away the better choice and not that much more expensive over all - with wonderful food - fully inclusive -entertainment both day and night and a fantastic spa .... their hotel staff are friendly and a number speak good English too.........
I can honestly say in all my travels around the world that this Fantasia hotel was the worst 4 star hotel ever.... AND THEY CHARGE WHAT THEY WANT WITHOUT PROVIDING AN INVOCE OF CHARGES THAT I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN SENT - AND THEY WILL NEVER RETURN YOUR 20 EUROS DEOSIT IF YOU MAKE THE MISTAKE THAT I DID TO HAND OVER THE SAFETY DEPOSIT KEY BEORE GETTING YOUR DEPOSIT BACK....... SO BE WARNED!

Room Tip: Do not get partial sea view - which will give you a view of a new hotel being built next door which...

Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Fantasia. What a beautiful, clean, peaceful hotel. The pool area was immaculate and well kept at all times. The food was very average but it is so cheap to eat out in Turkey that it was not an issue. The location of the hotel and the beautiful views certainly make up for it. The beach is just across the path and the beach towels are offered to you everyday by way of a beach card. I would recommend a seaview room as you won't be disappointed. The hotel staff are very friendly but the drinks are very expensive. The entertainment was very poor and sometimes laughable! Overall, we have had a fantastic holiday and I would thoroughly recommend you visit this hotel and place at least once in your lifetime.

Room Tip: Definitely choose a seaview room on the front of the hotel. You won't be disappointed.
