having read Mrs van rooyen's deplorable comments on the management staff, we can assure people that the staff are absolutely brilliant,Please don't let this put you off this wonderful hotel. As for the bracelet ,why wasn't it in the safe provided, end of story. We are regular customers of this hotel and we couldn't believe what we were reading

Hotel aqua gets a large thumbs up from me.

I had a holiday there which filled my heart with happiness. Had a large smile on face the whole week until the day i had to leave.

Rooms were sufficient size, i didnt want to stay indoors for long anyway, so many beautiful things to do and places to see. daytime and night.

the staff were all very polite and friendly.

i just cant wait to go back! Miss you all.

Spent 11 nights at the aqua 26th june -8th july and the reviews are all spot on My first time to turkey last year and i went to olu deniz had a great time but never go to the same place twice Quite a few people recommended Icemeler so i got on ta and chose the aqua as it had briliant reviews
Check in was speedy and we were given a cold plate of salad as we had arrived after midnight we collected our keys to the room and were impresses with the size and decor After a good nights sleep we woke to sunshine and after a quick shower and unpacking we went down to breakfast the food was good and plentifull eggs cooked anyway you wanted with coffee and toast we wouldnt eat a full english at home so it was nice to have a light breakfast Lunch we used the snack bar as there was a choice of 3 dishes served from 12.30-4.30 then it was waffles cakes ice cream served till 5-30 the main buffet restaurant had plenty of choice i absolutley loved the soups and the bread and could have quite easily lived on that alone the waiters where always rushing here and there making sure you had drinks and the tables where cleared quickly So big thumbs up for the food
Pool area looked clean but busy as i prefer the beach i never went in the pool you could always find a sunbed on the beach whatever time you arrived it was clean and you werent on top of each other this is another of the reasons i choose this hotel as it was on the beach
Entertainment was a bit hit and miss they had the kiddies disco/entertainment the it was karoke bingo bands etc the dance nght was really good they have loads of local kids in dancing aswell as break dancers robots etc we usually went for a stroll after the evening meal just to break the night up
Had a great turkish bath in Marmaris and a lazy day cruise but apart from that i was on a lounger on the beach soaking up the sun
All in all the aqua was a fantastic holiday staff frendly ,good food, good choice and i would have no hesitation on recommending this hotel
Cant think of any negatives the photos dont do this place any justice
If you have booked this hotel you will hae a fabulous time

Terrific hotel - had absolutely no problems the whole fortnight we were there. The hotel is very impressive especially on entry when you are greeted with a very airy and ornate lobby. Reception staff knew my name as soon as we walked through the door and our luggage was promptly taken up to the room by a very charming porter. The room was fairly spacious (bathroom a little small) but we were not in it for any length of time so that was not a major problem. The hairdryer could do with being a little more powerful so if you have long, thick hair - take your own! The rooms were cleaned daily and new towels provided if required. We left money and jewellery lying around (without thinking) and it was never touched. Our balcony (as described in the brochure) had a side sea view. This was lovely and our view faced Marmaris and we could also see the lovely hotel gardens underneath. The pool area and gardens are maintained to the highest standards and the Pool Attendant, George is very attentive and keeps the place looking tidy. The kids pool is great and I felt very relaxed with my 5 year old playing with the permanent canopy covering her from the 44 degree sun! The large pool is deep everywhere so if you cannot swim this may be a problem. The entertainment team work tirelessly to get everyone in the holday spirit and they do a fantastic job. We start with a 'wake up' and a wee dance round the pool at 10am then a pool game at 12 noon. They ask if you want to take part in various acitivities like volleyball, darts, yoga etc. - no hassle. The entertainment at night was also very good - some of the dancers costumes were amazing and we had some really good laughs at the Movie/Music quizzes. Both Jack and Mr Black, as they are affectionately known, (Turkey's answer to Ant & Dec) were wonderful comperes and had everyone in stitches. The all inclusive option worked well for us as I was travelling with my 5 year old daughter and didn't want to venture out of the hotel anyway. The food was wonderful. There was something for everyone and I cannot understand for the life of me how anyone could complain or say they could not make a meal out of the many dishes on offer. Fish / steak / lamb/ veal (in various forms)/ large selection of salad / cold meats / BBQ outside (lovely skewered chicken) / chips / potatoes / veg/ pizza/ pasta/Traditional Turkish etc...the list is endless and that's not to mention the magnificent display of desserts - profiterole mountain was my favourite! There were snacks available in the afternoon, freshly made waffles, pizza, Turkish pastries etc. Ice-cream at 4.30pm along with tea/coffee/cakes. We met some lovely families from various parts of the world and everyone got on great. My daughter spent half the holiday playing with a little Turkish girl, neither could speak each other's language but they played all day and night together. The hotel is very relaxed and welcoming and the other guests are also very family orientated and polite (no riff raff - well with the exception of one couple who were promptly shown the door!) Overall, the best holiday I have every been on and cannot wait to book again for next year . 5/5 is not enough!!

We stayed 9 nights all inclusive at the Aqua Hotel in Icmeler 15th - 24th June 2010 and had a great holiday. Icmeler is a lovely beach resort with plenty of shops and restaurants and places to book day and boat trips. Sellers do try and vie for your attention but a polite no thank you works. The Turkish people we encountered were friendly and helpful. The trips we went on were: Dalyan with mud bath & turtle beach, Turkish bath & massage etc, Turkish night, and a boat trip, all of which were good. We also took a leisurely walk to Maramis, which is a livelier resort, & had a boat taxi back.
We were very pleased with the Aqua Hotel. The room was a good size with a balcony and lovely sea view. We arrived to a heat wave with temps in the 40s & were grateful for the air conditioning at night! You had to be down to the pool before 10am to get a sunbed but there were plenty on the hotel's own beach area. We really enjoyed the food, there was plenty of it and was well presented. There were buffets at each meal and although it was mostly the same food there was so much selection you could have something different each day. The sweets were outstanding and we loved the ice cream and Turkish pastries in the afternoon! Can't understand the complaints from others but then we are not fussy eaters........... We enjoyed the sauna, steam room, turkish bath & indoor pool which are in the fitness centre & paid for a lovely relaxing massage. The entertainments team organised several events & we particually liked the yoga/stretching each morning. There was entertainment in the evening for adults after 9.30pm & children before this. We did find it difficult to get a good seat after 9.30pm as the parents & children tended to stay all evening. I felt a separate entertainment area for adults with a dance floor would have been a good idea. We celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary whilst at the hotel and they sent a bowl of fruit and bottle of wine to our room. The staff were all friendly & helpful & dealt with any requests quickly & efficiently. I did read reviews about the hotel before booking so I had an idea what to expect and would say it exceeded my expectations & made our holiday a lovely experience.
Useful tips: Drinks on trips are expensive. Toiletires provided in bathroom & refilled. Kettle in room but the tea bags etc not always refilled but can buy own in supermarkets. Free safe box in room ask for key at reception. Full mini bar provided on arrival free for AI but pay to refill but water free. Don't leave evening meal too late as less selection by then. To get sunbeds by pool go down before 10.00 am. Beach towels are provided. Cheapest clothes, bags etc in markets. Where no prices displayed you can haggle & start with half what they are asking. ENJOY!

Hi just returned from a two week holiday and loved every minute of it, we are actually going to return next year with our families...cant wait !!
The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh clean towels and bed linen, the pool area is also kept very clean as are all the surrounding areas. We have never stayed at a hotel with better service and staff provided, you will not be disappointed.
The food is very varied and to a high standard, you wont go hungry there is food provided all day long if you want it, as are the drinks.
The rooms have excellent air-con, fridge, hair dryer, kettle and tea making facilites and a T.V. Only small negative is the walls are thin so you can sometimes hear whats going on next door. The beach is just outside the hotel and sunbed are free on your own private beach, towels are supplied to you daily so no need to take your own as you can use these on the beach also. The hotel is very secure and there is security staff on front and back of the hotel day and night, so you can be asured you are safe.
There is enough to keep you busy for two weeks, whether you decide to stay on the site or in the surrounding areas. But there is entertainment every night. The entertainment is not always to everyone taste but you cant please everyone .
We found this holiday excellent value for money and would highly recommend this to friends and family

I stayed at the Aqua hotel with my husband and thought the grounds were lovely. The food is the same each day but has a fair amount to choose from. The management staff and customer relations manager are VERY RUDE! My husband had a bracelet stollen from our room and we had to call the police as the managers were trying in every way to blag their way out of it! The customer relations manager swore at me when I confronted her about the theft. The police are going to do an investigation but it wont replace the bracelet and the insurance wont cover the cost. You would not expect this of a 5* hotel!! I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone

AquaManager, Manager at Hotel Aqua, responded to this reviewResponded 3 weeks ago

Dear reviewers,
As hotel management, we are totally shocked about this review at our listing.
The guests who wrote the comments above, accused Hotel for their missing bracelet which they claim to put in their bathrobe’s pocket and left on the carpet of their room. As stated in our hotel card" Hotel management don’t take responsibility for lost valuable items which is not kept in the safe box which is provided free of charge to all our guests upon arrival. On the other hand as soon as they reported us its missing we tried to do our best to help them. We asked them to call police and we did it .
Even all our efforts and help on this matter, Unfortunatelly lady took another way of approaching the issue by implicating our professional managemet team member for over 10 years. Not thinking where her words are going.
Thank you for reading
Kind Regards
Hotel Management
