It took us a while to find Selam but it was worth it!! A seriously fantastic place to eat! We are total foodies and noted down Tripadvisors top restaurants and we were so glad we did. The owners are a couple and they are lovely. The restaurant is quite small and feels very intimate and you can see them cooking the food and the chef is very friendly. Their meze was superb and was a meal in itself. We also had the borek which is like a wrap rolled up with fillings and it was delicious. My husband had the mixed grill which he says was superb and a good taste of everything and I had the vegetable casserole which was lovely. Great service and an appreciative chef. Make the effort to find this place as you won't regret it. It is one of the few places not trying to be British. To find it go past Charlies and the Red Lion then turn right and it is in this street. Top, top place!!

We've always planned to visit Selam but somehow never got round to it, but it was worth the wait. Sibel and Turgay are great hosts and the food was delicious. This is not the place to eat if you want "fast food", but if you appreciate proper Turkish cooking and a nice, laid back atmosphere, then it's well worth seeking it out. My Orange Chicken was delicious and different to many other Turkish dishes I've tried before. The restaurant was absolutely packed when we were there, so I'd advise making a reservation if you plan to visit. Good value, too.

We went to this place purely because of the tripadvisor rave reviews.
Oh dear.
The people running were charming, but the food ..... the calamari were like rubber bands, the steak was tough and as for the lamb shanks, I have never had such hard meat on my plate. Luckily the wine was good and we had a fun evening despite the poor food, but I really can't recommend it at all.

After reading the reviews on TA we were determined to find this restaurant while on holiday in Icmeler and we were certainly not disappointed. As previous reviewers have mentioned it is like visiting someones home, hospitality from the owners here is really genuine and a welcome relief from the patter that is dished out from the staff in some of the bars. The food and the service were excellent here and the complimentary meze was amazing (yogurt one best I've ever had!!). So glad we found this gem of a place.
