“Great Hotel, Great Location, Friendly Staff”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Me & My girlfriend came to Telmessos on the 9th of July for 2 weeks. Never ever wanted to go to Turkey but was convinced about going & it was the best decision i've made in a long time. Hotel is lovely and in a great area. Far enough away from the main strip that its very quiet but also close enough where you can walk to it. Seen people complain about the food and hygiene & can only think they are VERY VERY picky. Food was very tasty although there isnt a great variety i still enjoyed it all. The rooms are quite small but can't complain as we only ever showered & s The staff were very friendly, except maybe one who's known as Kenny Jnr who instead of serving you seems to stand about and think he's royalty. Ozzy was the one person we spoke to alot on the holiday and the young man makes you feel very welcome & always comes over to talk to you. Met some really nice people on the holiday aswell and have made some great new friends albeit from another part of the country. I fell in love with the place, the people and Turkey. Will defo be back in the future and hopefully Ozzy will be back working.

We have been to Hisaronu many times in different hotels, this Hotel is in a great location, that's why we booked it. It is set up a small hill just behind the main road. The mountains in the back ground are a lovely view with the paragliding all in the sky too. The Hotel is set in two parts, one part over the road. We stayed in block B 214, and 213. The rooms are very basic, tv, hairdryer, a/c, Not that clean either, although towels were changed and sheets changed once too. Cleaner didn't brush room or clean the shower/toilet/sink. But never touched our belonging/money etc. Didn't have hot water every day, shower door kept falling off, loo leaked and smelled of pee all the time. I do think this hotel needs a full revamp, its worn out and tired. We mended the curtains/nets to stop them coming off the rail when opening. If it rains EVERY floor surface is slippery we saw lots of guests strapped up after an evening and day of rain, there is no where to sit when it does rain only the restaurant but you get wet as the bar is outside. The food was lovely but as all inclusive a bit of the same every day but always plenty , fresh and served with a smile from the chefs. Restaurant staff were quiet but nice. reception staff ok but the bar staff were unhelpful and certainly Not customer focused, never acknowledged you, smiled and were very silly, swore in front of customers, seemed fed up/unhappy, wouldn't rush to serve, seemed to have favourites to serve. Wasps are everywhere around the bar and restaurant, so beware, a little girl was stung while eating, on her eye and finger, staff just ignored her, her parents asked for DR, the staffed just shrugged. The bar has music at max out put all the time, when people asked to turn it down staff just shrugged like they didn't understand! Cleaners, pancake lady and Chefs are lovely, the others need training. There is a hairdressers between the Hotel which is great, the gent is a great hairdresser, the lady does beauty, great prices too.
Wont be staying here again, but great location, shame about the staff!

Hotel was good as was the food, great location close to town. The staff were very nice Ozzy being my favourite loved him, but I must admit I thought at first that "Kenny" the head bar man was a idiot to be polite, but by day 10 I changed my mind. The reception staff were also very nice especially Hatice the young lady,
We have booked to go back next year for 3 weeks, the one down side to this hotel was my very hard mattress it was like sleeping on concrete
But thank you to the staff for a great holiday xxx

Room Tip: We went over to the quite side

This is my 3rd visit to this fantastic hotel since september 2012.
It is friendly and clean, the staff are helpful and curtious. The reception staff are welcoming and attend to your needs promptly, they have good english and understand what you ask from them.
The boys that take your cases are friendly and helpful and will show you how to work the air con etc in your room, they will expalin how the lights and shower work upon arival.
The kitchen staff are excelent, the food is limited in choice, but there is always something to eat.It is well presented, and cleaned regularly. the staff that clear your plates although limited english are always friendly and smiling, even with the rudest of customers.Cleaning staff are thotough, and your room is cleaned daily, unless your request it not to.
The bar staff are friendly, always cheerful and yes there is sometimes a wait for drinks, but this is due to the volume of customers to the amount of staff, especially 15 mins before the bar stops being all inclusive. yes the bar staff spend time at the music deck, but this is to ensure that there is a variation in music, so we are not hearing the same music time and time again.
the most recent week we were there, there was a storm, but the barstaff still kept their ground, served drinks under these apawling conditions, they even tried to cheer us all up by having fun arround the pool in the rain. I do not understand how people can slate this complex, there is an entertainments team that try their best to involve everybody throughout the day, water polo etc, and a show in the ampithatre every night. the town close by is buzzing at night, a good place to go after bar shuts in hotel, reasonable prices and friendly locals.
would recomend this to anybody... if you want the quiet side request the marcan side, this will keep you from the noise of the bar and the slides. Victor the manager is always on hand to speak to if you have any concearns.

Room Tip: if you want quiet, then the Marcan side will suite you better. but both sides are as clean and well...

I have visited Turkey for the last 18 years and this is the worst hotel I have been too. The food is awful, yes, you do get freshly cooked lamachun and pide (turkish pizza) every night, but you can also buy it in resort for 3tl. The bar is always busy and you have to wait for the staff to finish texting/smoking before they acknowledge you. We were also stolen from and the hygiene is questionable. Be prepared to go out at night as the entertainment is non existent, apart from bingo and for that you will be charged 6 pound a ticket. Still a wonderful area so make the most of it.
