I cannot fault Hisaronu, it is one of the most friendly and welcoming places you will ever go to. But why would you want to stay in Telmessos Hotel. There are some good reviews and no doubt they enjoyed. HOWEVER would YOU enjoy the stink of rotten meat dumped in open bins on the side of the road. The flies and wasps it attracts is incredible, just take plenty of cream with you for wasps stings. Another essential item you will need to take is ear protectors "the industrial type", and make sure your children wear them when they go to the kids club, because the idiot running it has the music turned up to 100% between early evening and 11:30pm. Don't bother trying to sleep between these times, you can't, it's quieter in the main street of Hisaronu. I'm no spoil sport, I really enjoy myself on holidays (it too expensive not to). Don't get me wrong I think this hotel can sort their problems i.e. why not use their correct sealed waste bins, in a suitable area NOT A PUBLIC area. The noise, it's not rocket science, restrict the volume to an enjoyable level in the entertainment area, it's far, far to loud, or cut the entertainers fingers off, bit extreme, maybe. We had to go out of the hotel and buy our beer elsewhere (loss of profit, be warned). I'm not going to go on and on. I hope someone can report back saying they listened, but I doubt it.

This is my first review on trip advisor, I spent so many hours umming and ahhing over booking this hotel due to all the bad reviews on here so thought I would in return leave an honest review.
Firstly, myself and my husband (27 & 28) stayed here for 1 week 2-9th sept 2013, we are young at heart with no children, but like to relax and have some peace also. We had a wonderful time here, we were in E block which is by the 'noisy' pool and overlooking the restaurant. The rooms were really nice and modern, I think they were quite new so we did well here. There was no issue what so ever regarding noise from where we were. Even in the day, the music behind the bar was never loud, I like a bit of sound around the pool and it was just enough. The pool area gets busy and they do water sports (volleyball, polo etc) so it gets a little rowdy...but with holiday makers having something called FUN??!! Some people on here must not know what this is! Sure if your sun bed is right by the goals or pool side you might get splashed, so make sure you are a little away. We went by the quieter pool once or twice too and it really is quiet so go there if you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle.
The food is exactly what you would expect from a 3 star AL. I am not a fussy eater though and I honestly never went hungry. Breakfast was omelettes, fresh bread with lots of choice of spreads, pancakes, cereal (I loved the musesli)..didn't really need much more, so many people moaning though...but loading their plates sky high, made me laugh! Yes wasps at breakfast but at the quiet pool apparently there were less wasps. Lunch I always had spaghetti Bolognese, maybe a small salad, chips etc..the salads were really good! We had dinner at the hotel 3 times as we like exploring local restaurants, it was fine, yes mostly chicken, chips, but also other meat and fish dishes, I always found something to satisfy and the deserts were quite nice too! I don't understand why fussy eaters would book a 3 star AI then moan about the quality of food...If you want something specific...go to a restaurant and order what you want! We loved the nearby indian Shine, I would recommend that!
I will mention 2 negatives though, got to keep it real, firstly our bathroom began to smell of drains from about 7pm onwards..when we returned from our evenings out the smell would hit you bad, then again first thing in the morning you open he bathroom door and its not nice. The maids came everyday though 11ish and the smell disappeared...then the same would happen 7pm again...ditto etc...it must just be issues they have with the drainage systems, they do what they can to manage it. It was no big deal for us. Secondly, I was rather excited by hearing about the pancake lady who makes pancakes 10-5pm. Firstly, shes not there 10-5, she has key hours, and her English is so bad she cant even try to tell you that's shes not making them yet. First trip to her I asked for 2 chocolate pancakes, after the first one I asked for the second and she barked 'TIP!' and wouldn't make it without a tip, I had to go back to my room for change. Second trip to her I made note to only ask for one...but she wouldn't make it without a tip, she just points at the box and shouts 'TIP!'. Fair enough, they are great and I didn't mind tipping her daily once I knew this, but at first it came as quite a shock and she was very rude, I don't really believe in tipping before you experience the service and the product. Also worth noting I never noticed the Turkish tipping her.
Location is 10/10, 3 minute walk and bam your on the strip, Hisaronu was livelier and busier than I expected, but we found two nice bars at the top end of the strip near the hotel (RED and Bar Friday) which were really nice.
I would also recommend visiting olu deniz and the fish market in Fethiye :D

Room Tip: ask for block E if you want to be in the busier hotel.

I will start with the positives:

1. Location is fantastic.

2. Animation team are fab so well done to Ozzie, Gino and "Will Young" - you guys do a great job.

3. Alfonso who takes your cases to your room on arrival is such a pleasant young man and is always smiling.

4. The bread was lovely and fresh.

Negative points:

1. Bar staff especially Kenny who is keen to serve young single girls, he plays Turkish music most of the time and if you ask him to change it he will until you walk away then switches back to Turkish music but louder to annoy you. He is always smoking behind the bar and applying his aftershave which is kept by the ship in a bottle! Kenny would also serve Turkish people first even if they were behind you in the line. They made up their prices on the beer my husband purchased a bottle of Efes (local beer not available on AI) and was charge various prices for this.

2. WASPS... The place is full of them especially at meal times and I am talking at least 5 wasps per plate!

3. FOOD... Is dreadful, any hot food not eaten at lunch time appeared on the cold selection in the evening. Chips where hit and miss (not cooked properly).

4. Not enough seating area at meal times.

5. It took 3 members of staff to push a trolley round collecting empty plates and cleaning tables - no sense of urgency about this they just shuffled around.

6. ROOMS... Where in desperate need of a lick of paint, more drawers for storage and a brighter light near the entrance so you could actually see what was in your wardrobe! We had no shower door in our room so bathroom floor covered in water all the time. It was reported but no action was taken.

7. CLEANERS... Our room was cleaned only once during our 2 week stay (it would have been twice only I told them not to bother we were leaving the next day). One large and one small towel left for 2 adults. I had to keep stopping the cleaner in the corridor to get clean towels and I even went to reception one day to be told they had NONE.

8. NO COURTESY ROOM... Check out is at 12 noon and there is no courtesy room available if you have a later pick up we had to pay £25 to keep our room until 5pm.

One morning whilst waiting for my omelet a member of staff came over to the chef and lit his cigaret on the cooker whilst my omelet was being cooked!

We chose this hotel as they had water slides but they only put them on for 2 hours a day (I did read this prior to going but thought peak weeks may have been different).

TIP:- ask for a room in "Kevin block" this building is new and the top floor has 4 mini suites (2 rooms one with a sofa bed and the other with a double bed). Much more space but I would imagine these rooms go quickly.

This hotel has the potential to be ranked #1 with much needed improvements.

Hisaronu is a lovely place to visit, there are fantastic restaurants I can recommend "Delboys" but get there early as people que outside waiting for a table. "Talk of the Town" another great night out and costs £22 (includes a chicken in basket meal). Jeep safari is also a great day out our teens loved this as it was one big water fight.

Finally, the highlight of my holiday was finding "Cengis bar" which was off the beaten track a bit, he remembered everyone's name. There was a sign above the bar saying "self service" and it was! If Cengis was not there you just got your own drinks and settled with him when he got back. Everyone in that bar had been visiting for years. He offered B&B (bed and beer) you could sleep on the sofa in the bar! What a fantastic place to visit.

The hotel was in a very good location close to the main strip. For a four star all inclusive hotel this by far the best value in this area. Even though the hotel states it is all inclusive it was made clear at reception that drink had to be paid for after 11pm, which i had no problem with as drink were very affordable. There was a great selection of food for both breakfast and dinner, wıth a snack bar avalable during the day. Staff were more than friendly and suited all my needs. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels were regulaly cleaned. I cant recommend this hotel enough.
