“Walk a little further”
Reviewed June 6, 2012

go on give it a go, you have nothing to lose!!!! but you will gain a few lire on the price of the beer. From the moment we stepped foot inside the Red Lion Bar we were taken into the hearts of the staff, several years later we are welcomed as family, and not just us, everyone is treated as family, no false showman stuff, just honest people trying to make your holiday that bit more memorable. There's more though, than just a beer at the end of the road that is, try the food, it is all home cooked to order, done exactly as you like it, want something a bit different? just ask!! they aim to please. Give it a go, just the once, I am sure you will be back for more! sit for a while, relax drink a few beers, have a cocktail or just water if that is your choice, it's homely at the Red Lion, make the place yours for the time you are there. Dont expect the Ritz, but do expect Turkish hospitality at its best, Ahmet is the perfect host, he wont forget you, and I am sure you wont forget him, and will keep popping back each time you visit Hisaronu, you just cant keep away from this guy, the place is like a magnet - see you there.

If you don't visit the Red Lion you will be missing out on a very homely atmousphere and while having a beer in the afternoon we were treated to home made crisps, the owners are lovely people and nothing is a trouble for them, to sum it up fantastic experience

“Very friendly atmosphere, good food and great prices.”
Reviewed January 7, 2012

We always visit the Red Lion when in Hisaronu. Ahmet is a great host and everyone is very friendly. The bar is off the beaten track , at the top end of Hisaronu but is well worth a visit. The beer is among the cheapest in town and the menu, although limited includes "specials" at excellent prices for huge portions. A great place for a cheap night out with friends.
