Take in the Turkish evening air in the mountain village of Kaya with great locally produced lamb slowly cooked on wood embers or cook it yourself on the provided BBQ with fresh salad and local pomegranate vinegar and olive oil.
Chill out on the cushions and savor the exuberant atmosphere! A experience not to be missed if you're in the area.

Visited here twice during our holiday and it was some of the best food we had - much better than what's available in Hisaronu. We were warned that it was pricey, but we were pleasantly surprised. Certainly not pricey by English standards. The mezze is fantastic, gorgeous lamb and chicken, beautiful surroundings, relaxed atmosphere and the number of locals visiting is also a very good sign.

Relaxed garden dining in the scenic valley of the ghost village of KayaKoy

our Nth visit prompted a call to spread the word ---- if you enjoy a barbecue and outdoor eating then this should be a 'must' on your list to try at least once.

out door eating - the cupolas are very decadent for lounging in - book at busy times esp weekends
fresh locally sourced produce: both meat and veg (our local friends tell us of the 'local' flavour
friendly staff (who will even cook your barbecue if you are uncertain - but dont! give it a go yourself)
good selection of starters: be careful not to over order, better to top up (ditto main course meats)
slow cooked lamb shoulder is melt in the mouth (sold by the kilo from the 'filing cabinets' in the kiln, known locally as 'kuzu kol' - lamb collar)
lamb is 'home-grown' so don't venture beyond the

wheelchair/wheelbarrow service home would be good

n.b. if you are 'faint of heart' and love little fluffykins, dont go walking around the back of the car park - you will be eyeballing nextweeks fresh dinner in progress.
