“Finding it is the hard bit !”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

There are signs all around the area but with no directions on so we drove around for ages and eventually found it. A mixed opinion regarding the food. My beef in red wine was very mediocre and tasteless. The stuffed mushroom starter was a couple of small mushrooms with a bit of cheese in. This place was expensive for Turkey and not worth the hype

“What a fantastic restaurant”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

This restaurant, established in 1994, is by far the best in the Hisaronu / Olu Deniz area and should not be missed. The setting is tranquil, the ambience delightful and the staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The food is exceptional, serving both Turkish and international cuisine. Superb presentation. There is also an extensive wine list available to suit everyone's palate. You can dine on the outside terrace, upstairs restaurant or balcony overlooking the pool. After dinner you can relax in the very comfortable bar area for coffee, drinks or even one of their delightful cocktails. On cooler evenings there is a roaring log fire. Have eaten (and stayed) at the Olive Tree many times over the years. Well done Mustafa, Halil and the entire Olive Tree team. Gill F

“Had an excellent meal on my wife's birthday.”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

Went as two couples to the Olive Tree on my wife's birthday. Service and food was excellent, I booked the table two days before, and they arranged a small birthday cake for our sweet after the main meal, they couldnt do enough for us, and it was probably less than half the cost of a similar night out in the UK!

“Disappointed”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

We have visited this restaurant on several occasions over the past three years, and have always found it great, that is until the last visit on 26 September 2012 for our anniversary. We both chose T-Bone steak, which we thought be up to the normal standard of the Olive Tree, this was not so, my husband spoke to Mustafa about this but he did not seem to be too concerned, and he then sent the Head waiter to ask if everything was okay, which it was not the T-Bome steak was quite tough and we could not eat it, there was no offer of it being changed, we then had a dessert and at the end of the meal we were offered a coke, beer or a coffee. On receiving the bill we noticed the bill was in full, which we paid, on receiving our change it was brought out by th 'barman' very odd. Mustafa stayed in his cubby hole, it was as If he was advoiding us, it appears that he cannot take criticism. He states that he likes to deal with any problems head on, but in this case he did not.
