Thuis easternmost point of Spain has a wonderfil restaurant just above the lighthouse. The sky was a depp blue as was the sea. We ate here twice while in the area, the first time dinner (all adults) and the second time with my children and a friend. Sure, the menu was not "child friendly" but the children tucked into the calamari and the steaks with gusto. This has to be one of the great restaurant views and the food is simple and delicious. I love this place. You may need to book to get the terrace seats. The second time we had the Arroz caldoso con bogavante (Lobster). Yum.

You may fly from any point in the world reach either Alicante or Valencia airport from which travelling towards Javea, Xabia until you reach Cabo de la Nao.

Imagine enjoying dinner at the foot of the lighthouse, perched on the sunny terace overlooking a stunning angle of 180 degrees of nothing but the finest Mediteraneean Sea.

In case you find yourself alone for dinner worry not. Cabo La Nao has the friendliest seagulls to keep you company.

Last but not least, I would like to mention your host, a proper englishman which will serve you a meal fit to the view.

Rented a villa five minutes from the Cabo La Nao lighthouse (an important landmark in Spain) and delighted to find the Cabo La Nao restaurant right next to the lighthouse. We first tried to go for dinner but as it was pre-summer season, the restaurant was only opening for lunch so we returned next day as a group of nine friends.

We'd looked at the menu posted outside the night before and liked the sound of what was on offer (very inventive and adventurous selection of meat and fish dishes). On arrival, we couldn't have been greeted in a more friendly fashion by the owner and his staff and were allocated tables outside with a view of the lighthouse and ocean and we were well sheltered under the large parasols.

Pre-lunch drinks were served promptly and basically anything you can think-of. The staff are friendly (not all speak English but like anywhere, you can communicate if you try and so I did, at times, in my rusty Portuguese, with no problem). As well as the menu we'd seen the night before, there were specials of the day + an impressive wine list.

We ordered a selection of starters that included fresh bread, octopus, salads, etc. and the mains were a varied selection of beef, lamb, fish and a vermicelli squid paella that we'd been anxious to try. The wines we ordered were off-menu (we took the waiter's selection of red, white and rose) and everything, including the deserts (try the tiramsu, it's great) was fabulous.

Including the pre-lunch drinks, starters, mains, deserts, wines and coffees, the bill was Euros 100 a couple which we found very acceptable for the great quantity of everything we had.

We loved it - highly recommended !

We visited this restaurant as a family 2 adults, 2 kids (aged 9 & 7) after we heard about the fantastic views and great food. On arrival we looked at the menu outside only to find it was very limited in choice, very expensive and did not cater at all for children. I would recommend this venue for couples with deepish pockets. The location is stunning but regrettably we did not get in through the door so cannot comment further. Just thought it fair to warn folk as it is a fairly long drive to eat there.

The restaurant Cabo de la Nao is located in the La Nao Cape, on top of a spectacular cliff, so if your table is on the edge you will have spectacular views, however this is a tipycal restaurant to go at night, so when everything is dark, views are not so important.
Food is quite good, well rice is good (specially arroz caldoso con calamares y gambas) so go for it. The rest of things in the menu are not spectacular, so you must go there only if everybody wants rice. It is a little bit pricy so be careful with wine and desserts (nothing special by the way, so its better going back to javea to have a nice ice cream in the arenal). Service is correct, but not too friendly.
