“Very comfortable well equipped Apartment with great Beds”
Reviewed March 30, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Good location, near enough to walk everywhere. Good selection of Restaurants & reasonably priced. La Siesta on the Beachfront provided excellent Lunches. We were unlucky with the weather & needed to use the heating which although effective tripped the power a number of times. Keep a torch handy & do not use when other appliances are on. Louise the Agent was very helpful & arranged extra bedding & towels after the first week which we were happy to change ourselves. The owner Johan has been good to deal with & responds to emails promptly

“Beautiful family holiday ”
Reviewed November 20, 2015 for a stay in August 2014

We loved our first visit to Javea and felt well accommodated with the 2 children (aged 3 and 4). The apartment is clean, modern and kitted out to a high standard. The pool is beautiful and perfect for children, and it's just outside the apartments back door! We were one of 3 English families and there were also many Spanish and Italian families some who spend many months of the year there. It was a little hard being quiet during the siesta pool times but we tried our best and didn't get any complaints! The apartment is super close to the supermarket and also a more than perfect beach bar and restaurant called la fiesta... The kids loved the rock pools there wandering around with their fishing rods like all the other children! You are also only 10mins or so from both the sandy Arenal and the port. We did drive a lot as I was pregnant and hot! But the port is just glorious and chilled and Arenal so fun. We also took a day trip to the water park which was better than I expected! Johan the owner was a pleasure to deal with and Louise met us there on time and very friendly. There is a lovely comfy sofa and kids channels too for siesta time in the afternoon! You are not meant to have balls/floats in the pool but we did, we were just sensitive to others needs and no one complained! Great apartment so close to beach!

“Great location”
Reviewed September 22, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. The location is fantastic, only a 5 minute walk to the port area and maybe 10 minutes or so to Arenal beach (We walk quite fast though), having Mercadona supermarket on the doorstep is an added bonus!

The apartment is bright and airy, Scandinavian style decor ;-) and has everything you could need for your stay. The bed in the master bedroom is extremely comfortable and I gather from our parents that the other beds were too. The ensuite bathroom was bright spacious and clean, the other bathroom was smaller but still very usable. The kitchen was well equipped although we don't do any cooking on holiday! We did use the dishwasher and washing machine during our stay.

The swimming pool area was lovely and peaceful.

There is garage parking but you don't need to use it as there is ample parking on the street.
It may be wise to take a torch at night as street lighting is limited in 1 area on the walk back to the complex, I do wish people would pick up their dog poo! The area felt very safe and no issue at all walking back late at night.

Booking with Johan was easy and he is very helpful and quick to reply. The agent, Louise met us on arrival at the apartment with the key. We arrived much later than anticipated due to horrendous rain storms. I text to inform her and it was no problem.

This was our first trip to Javea, we really liked the area. It is not too touristy and the old town particularly has a very local feel. You can walk to the old town or it is approximately 8 euros by taxi. Great gastro tapas bar here called Iberia Gastro bar, refined tapas with a twist.

We personally preferred the pebble port beach and the pebble beach area 3 minutes walk from the apartment rather than the Arenal beach. There is a beach club here called La Siesta which has a very chilled out 'ibiza' style and was great for relaxing with chill out music, huge day beds, loungers and the odd cocktail and mocktail. Arenal beach is more touristy but still relatively low key. We had great paella here at La Fontana restaurant (the 1st restaurant you come to on the front), it is included in their menu del dia which is excellent value without compromise on quality. For authentic fish tapas we enjoyed Bar El Clavo in the port area, in fact I think we were the only non-Spanish eating here which is always a good sign! Azorin restaurant, 1 street back from the port was also good and La cantina. We ate out every night of our 10 night stay and most lunch times too, we didn't have a bad meal.

We will be returning next year to stay at Casa Nina . Thank you to Johan and Nina for letting us use their holiday home.

“Fantastic apartment and ideal location - just perfect!”
Reviewed August 18, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We were lucky enough to be among the first few people to rent this lovely apartment and cannot recommend it highly enough! We've rented many private apartments and villas over the past few years and can honestly say that this is one of the comfiest and most well-equipped we've stayed in - it's a real home from home!
The kitchen is very spacious and has everything you need to fully self-cater with ease, especially as there is a very reasonably priced Mercadona a 2 minute walk away! There is a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine - we made great use of this for freshening our beach towels and swimwear, also helps keep the suitcases light going home with mostly clean clothes too!
The beds were all extremely comfy, in fact my husband loved the mattress in the master bedroom so much he wants us to buy one for our bed at home! The en-suite off the master bedroom is a great size, well-lit and the water pressure is strong, providing a good powerful shower. The shared shower-room for the other 2 bedrooms is more compact but well-equipped and very well-lit too.
The living area is light, airy and spacious with 2 comfy leather sofas either side of a large TV, perfect for a lazy night in with a take-away or home-cooked meal after a long hard day at the beach or by the pool! There's a dining table and chairs in front of the full-expanse of sliding patio doors onto the lovely covered terrace - this is a great space and where we ate our breakfast and lunch in comfort, as it's shaded from direct sunlight. It would also be lovely for a meal or drinks in the evening, neither of which we did sadly, as it was just so hot during our stay in July! 2 steps and a gate lead you directly to the pool area, which is generally very quiet and we found we usually had to ourselves! There's a general agreement within the local area that pools shouldn't be used during siesta time of 3-5pm every day and the sign at the side of the pool clearly states this, however if you aren't chatting and merely having a quiet swim or dip to cool off (which we did) then it's not a problem.
The apartment is generally quite cool without the air-con, though it is very handy when you're getting ready to go out with hairdryers going etc. There is a weekly allowance included in the rent and anything used above that is payable at the end of your stay, generally I think the allowance would adequate - it was exceptionally warm the 2 weeks we were there and we left the air-con on a few nights until 3am to help us get to sleep, meaning we were due an extra 50 euros at the end of our stay....not too bad and well worth it for comfort!
Javea itself is a really lovely place and the apartment is perfectly located just one block from the front, then it's either a 15 minute stroll to the left for the Port area or the same, but to the right for the busier Arenal beach area. The walk in either direction is perfectly flat and of course has lovely views of the sea, with a good selection of bars and restaurants either way. As a family with 2 teenagers 18 & 16, we weren't sure if Javea would be lively enough for them....we needn't have worried, the Arenal beach is huge (also immaculate) with basketball nets and floats (not too far out) to swim to and plenty of water-sport activities available. The livelier bars and restaurants are at the Arenal end so we tended to favour there, it has a great buzz for all ages but is mainly a family resort with a lot of Spanish families in particular, which was lovely and no crowds of lads/girls/stags/hens - also very refreshingly, no football shirts! There are also a few pop-up bars along the front during the Summer months, which make the stroll to and from the Arenal area even more pleasant...it's a really nice way to round off your evening, stopping off for a drink or 2 by the sea on your way home!
The Port area is lovely too, with many restaurants...we only went there twice and not very far along so can't say too much about it and although we had great plans to visit the old town (just behind the Port) which also looks lovely, it was so hot that we were lazy and didn't make it there......next time!
We ate out most of the time as it's part of being on holiday but also enjoyed 3 or 4 nights staying on the beach until after 7pm then heading home with a take-away pizza or curry and enjoyed watching a movie in the lovely cool apartment with a few drinks! We didn't have a bad meal out the whole time we were there, though a slightly disappointing one in Los Ramos, which we'd booked as a special Saturday night out - we later discovered that this is the most expensive restaurant in resort...wouldn't rush back there. There's so many to choose from, our favourites were Mos for lunch and La Fontana for dinner - both very reasonably priced with lovely food and great service, both right on the front overlooking the beach. Heading towards the Port is an amazing Indian restaurant Rani Palace where we sat in once and had 2 take-aways, their food is fantastic!
In conclusion, if you rent this apartment you will have an amazingly relaxed and comfortable holiday, Johan and Nina make every effort to keep in contact and keep you informed at every stage, from booking , arrival and during your stay to ensure that all is well and you are happy with everything. There is a fully comprehensive information pack in the apartment and Louise the property agent is there to meet you on arrival and is also available during your stay, should any issues arise. Could honestly ramble on forever about how great this property is, we feel very lucky to have been one of the 1st people to rent and can't thank Johan and Nina enough for letting us share their lovely home.....we wish them every success for the future and hope to return ourselves asap!

Dear Guest,
We are delighted to find you had such a positive experience of both our apartment and Javea. As the apartment is our second home we have furnished and equipped it to our taste which you noted and appreciated. It is also nice to see you agree with us on the convenient location of the apartment both for doing groceries, dining, visiting the Port or Arenal and the beach access. Thanks for the great review and me and Nina look forward to welcome you and your family back any time!
